Lost at the deciding-whether-to-tag-Cripps table. Not sure why we even have that table, the answer to that question should really just be regarded as being "yes".

This to my mind. Even if you didn't do it to start, have that card to play in your pocket when Carlton gets a run on. Don't just throw up your hands.

Not to be that person who blames losses on team selection because that's super easy in hindsight. In saying that, I respect the coaches decisions, but are we really supposed to believe that Keays, Walker and OMac aren't good enough for this team but Archie Smith, Rayner and Nick Robertson are? Correct me if I’m wrong, because O might still be sore from the game in the West, but even so, we could’ve done with his forward presence.

Lachie Neale needs some help in the middle (and some help from the umpires) and quickly.

So hard to get a read on Lyons. Last week he was immense, and then is out of it for the majority of this game. Unsure why he had the job on Cripps when he is not a defensive midfielder at. all.

Don’t even get me started on Martin and Matho missing those easy shots from right in front. Amateur hour.

Sick of seeing opposition players taking uncontested marks in their fwd 50 then our boys stand around and blame each other for not contesting. They all need to take some fu cking responsibility.

We overrate Walker greatly as a defender. Great interceptor when we set up for it but he would have had to play a genuine stopping role today and he really struggles at that.

Oscar’s non-selection hurt though.

In terms of a Saturday afternoon experience:
Umpiring combination of Nichols, Eleni and the other guy who was horrendous earlier in the year at one of our games (Crows game i think?)
Commentary team of Ed, Dwayne and Kingy supporting Carlton supported by Brownie and Lynchy desperate not to show any Brisbane bias
Result of blowing a 40 point lead against Carlton in spectacular fashion.

It's pretty much the perfect storm in terms of a negative afternoon at the footy.

A lot of players underperformed. I feel several players were left out that would have been handy out there today.
Our structure with Oscar out there is far superior.
Walker would have matched up better on their second tall.
I have been a fan in the past but Robertson and Rayner are not offering enough on current output.

I feel flat.

Pathetic. If we fail to make finals, this will be the match that cost us.

Agreed. I also said that against Freo and the Dogs too though. Fact is, every game is crucial if you want to play in September.

We are starting to show a worrying trend of being flakey on the road.

Disgraced that jumper today, they did not deserve to wear it. It is all on the players. Apart from Neale and Cameron I couldn’t find anyone else worthy of a vote. Hopefully it will be a loss we can look back on as a catalyst for success and not the start of our decline.

That period in the third quarter where we got to sit and watch Carlton win a clearance...then a clearance...then another clearance...then another 5 more easy clearances is close to the worst thing I have seen all year.

This hurts more than the Freo loss.

The hardest thing to learn in a teams development is to win in these situations.

Looking at this with a less emotional attachment, Carlton have a lot of cream that when they put it together are going to be hard to stop.

A lot of teams do this when at this point, lose games you should win and win games you should lose.

Just have to learn from this, have the bye, pick yourselves up and go again.

Remember still in the 8 with a record that is above expectations.

More questions should be asked of Carlton, that effort today Bolton clearly wasn’t getting the commitment he deserved and that’s why Carlton are currently down the bottom.

This should be their standard effort.

As soon as the talk turns to us being finals bound we falter again. First collingwood now this. We really don't know what to do with ourselves talk turns to that, or we are favourites. Maybe there will be a silver lining of a shocking loss + a humiliating night tonight + a stern word from Fages to bring the fire after the bye.

We showed last year we could go up a gear after the bye, and we have the right games to get our groove back.

Unacceptable. Only gave 3 players votes.

No intensity. Second to the footy.
They were first in and hungry and wanted it more.

Hopefully a huge kick in the *****

Rayner 5 kicks ???????????
Archie - inept and un-coordinated

Matho, Lyons and Rayner need jobs in the deli some absolute butchery of the footy

Embarassing loss, but one we can learn from. We dominated then took the foot off. This will be a lesson in becoming a ruthless team. When we smell blood, we need to kill them until this meme is relevant.

Seriously. It's a filthy loss and very disappointing, but in a season we're already overachieving we will make mistakes. We will lose games we should win. Ultimately, we will be served lessons and it's up to the players and coaches to take it on themselves to learn.

Trust in the process.
