You do what he did to Nick. Physically stop his run or a old school shepherd. Get physical. McCreery has the power and strength to do it.

Some of the times he was not even starting on Nick but reading where he was going to run and met him there then would buffet him past the contest.
Who is physically stopping Bont tonight?
Please enlighten us

I’m not buying the whole Bulldogs deserved that schtick.

We beat them fair and square in Q1 and could have iced the game there and then if it wasn’t for poor kicking and poor effort.

Ash Johnson does not compete and only expects to take uncontested marks. No shots on goal. That’s a D- and he should never play for us again.

Despite 3 goals Schultz was woeful and has been all year. No reliable and not consistent. If you demand the ball then you need to back it up.

Johnny Noble let himself down today with poor turnovers that let Dogs back into the game.

Besides the Daicos brothers, Darcy Cameron, Crisp and Moore (and to a lesser extend Bruz) we were very very poor after Q1.

And yes the umpires were disgraceful throughout the match - it did lose us the match but only because we didn’t take our chances early on so I guess that’s our fault.

Let’s not kid ourselves we do have some dead wood on the list and last year glossed over that a bit.

Very angry tonight.
Each to their own, but you thought Schultz was woeful and Noble only let himself down?

McCreery had 14 tackles and 8 disposals as a full time midfielder. He tries his guts out but we were a man down all game in the centre square. You can't carry players in the midfield that can't find the ball.

The only footy IQ he has is to chase and tackle. You can only play that type of player in the forward line. Hopefully Fly has learnt that and ends this experiment immediately.

14 tackles is an incredible effort. Maybe celebrate that, at least a little bit. Beau was so far away from being one of our problems tonight. The pressure he applied was immense.

bloody good effort by the whole side, be proud
Absolutely, Manic. I dont get some of the negative responses here.

There was an attempt to suggest that the Bulldogs injury list was equivalent to ours, but that is simply untrue. The experienced players we had tonight carried us to a 2 goal lead at 3/4 time, but with (unavoidably) insufficient support from a brigade of 1 or 2 or 3 or maybe 10 gamers could not physically endure for the last quarter.
I applaud the coaches, and once again, the coaching strategy, for coming close to winning this game with odds massively stacked against.

I tell you what, Darcy Moore doesn’t cop enough heat.

He’s looked a shell of himself for a long time now. Does the occasional intercept mark but often caught out of position, running around not impacting the contest.

When you don't nail simple set shots (5 from within 40m out or less) you leave the door open and the dogs came back. That should have been a 9.3 or 10.2 first quarter.

Had to nail those two set shots from 25-30m and missed them both.

Killed us tonight. he had a mare. I agree his turn overs that cost goals bought the dogs back into the game.

I am angry too, we shit the bed in the last quarter and allowed spuds like Sam Darcy to play the game of his life.
Markov not up to it. Lost his shine. McCreey is over rated. Has been woeful all year. Not clean with the ball, can't kick. Both need to play VFL once some of the senior players come back from injury.

I just can't be more proud, I must be sick or something. so much effort tonight by the whols side

It might translate if he is ever given an AFL game.
Or, it might not.
I’d suggest that Johnson offers more, even though what he offers means little to the outcome.

Charlie Dean is an intercepting third tall defender. He can replace Howe. He cannot replace Frampton and play on a 200cm + seasoned forward. It was suicide playing he and Howe together against the Dogs and putting Frampton, who has no demonstrated ability as a forward, up forward to kick us a score.

Even more mind boggling that the change wasn’t made at half time when there was plenty of evidence that they’d cocked it up.
Don't think he can replace Howe. Weak as piss in marking contests, loses his feet.
