After our close win against the Bombers, just wondering how comfident you guys are of doing well against Port Adelaide in Adelaide?
Not at all. We're not a good enough team to be confident. We CAN be a good enough team but at the developmental stage we're at, inconsitency is a big concern.
Also, Port have lost four straight and are playing at home ... yes, we certainly can win but it's very much a game not to get cocky about.
Port are pretty ordinary, they're inconsistent and physically soft, but if they have a good day they can beat us.
A Vesz sighting! The Jetta haters will be happy.
I'll try and find out who is the travelling emergency (or emergencies) because Kennelly is still in doubt. My guess would be MOD as he could play off the half-back flank.great to see Benny Mac Back
and i think is great for Jets to have a rest go down to canberra (if thats why they chose to do) have a bit of a run down there and kick some goals and have him back ready to go against the pies its perfect!
Im hoping Vesz might sneak in on saturday...or for the pies game!

Not even a mention of Kennelly, might be the end for Playfair who has filled a role down forward. We will remember him most for his ruckwork against Jason Ball in 05.
What we want from Jetta is to kick a few goals, as that will pick up the confidence and in Canberra he gets the chance.
True in everything you say, but I think that for some reason I always question whether or not we can beat them over there because they are a bit unpredictable at home.
Fair point?
Sorry, I used the wrong word. Jetta hater would be more appropriate. You know who you are
lol he has made more calls for him to be dropped than Jetta has kicked behinds.
I have no problem with him being 'rested' but the calls for him to be dropped weeks ago for bad form were wrong.
I am pretty confident we can beat Port however we will need to keep up the momentum and improve with our form. We have to work on not turning it over so much we were lucky it didnt cost us the game last week, especially from down back, Tige will straighten us up a bit and our forward pressure needs to go up a gear. Mummy is gonna smash Bogan and beat him in the ruck as well, dunno if theres something in the water over in Adelaide but geez they have a high percentage of players with over sized heads.
I watched the second half of the Port game last week after the Swans game on Sunday and I thought Id have a peek at the Port board straight after their loss, fair dinkum do they eat their own or what? The one that struck me most was titled 'Motlop is a Dog".. Thats so harsh Id be dissapointed in our 'supporters' making claims like that about any of our players, it was pathetic, poor form Port fans...
Who wants to hear about when I went to the 2003 final?
1) So who is our Jetta "hater"?
2) D Motlop is too weak to be a dog; too pathetic to be called a peaheart.
One of the more gutless players in the competition. Anyone recall his pathetic slaps at Craig Bolton in a tackle in one of our clashes with Power about two years back? I think it was the Tim Schmidt game.
would you start threads like that or make posts like that about any of our players? Youd at least 'sugar coat it'...
sure I know I gotta get with it its only the interweb and you can say what you want hiding behind a username but I just think its bad form from 'supporters' of any club.
I take your point. Although in Motlop's case it's difficult for me, personally, to make any concessions. I can't stand the bloke. I'd rate him with Adam Hunter and Campbell Brown as among my more loathed players of recent times.
I hate to see players with such exuberant natural talent spoil it by playing with a complete lack of heart, pride and sense of team responsibility.
Not sure if I'm one of the "Jetta Haters" but I have certainly called for him to be dropped. Not forever, just for a bit. Reason being he simply doesn't lay enough tackles, and his positive work isn't so good that he gets to be a non-tackler. I know he looks exciting, and I think he'll be great in time, but I want to see half a dozen tackles from him per match.
