Round 14 trades (Fantasy)

I am going Derickx > Martin (Ruck downgrades are a little thin).

Then I am either upgrading S.Gibson or L.Dalhaus...... to an uber premo

What is everyone else doing?

EDIT: I am upgrading Gibson because dalhaus has lost to much cash........dalhaus will be gone next week when i get rid of one of Langdon, langford or tex off my bench

Cox ---> Thurlow
Ambrose --> Parker

Just going to roll the dice with the rucks and hope there are no late outs, and if an injury occurs just straight swap. I want to get rid of Cox and make some cash, but the cost of having a regular backup ruck (Simpson, Rowe) is 140,000 and thats for a poultry 45pts should they be required. Would rather run the risk of copping the donut and using the extra 140k to upgrade my mids and forwards.

Jelwood -> Ebert

Want McGov. -34 BE is nuts. Already have Charlie Cameron and Tex on my fwd bench. CC Should be back next week but considering trading him to McGovern even though it'll cost me $20k odd. My team is pretty close to 'complete' but with 2 trades per week for the rest of the year extra money will be handy.

This is the dilemma that ill be going through all week. With 250k in the bank should i go:

which 2 of Zorko, Riewoldt, Tex, to
which 2 to get out of Harvey, Franklin, Gray?

If i go Tex > Harvey the other trade has to be to Buddy whos cheaper.

This is my team having gone Roo > Boomer, Zorko > Gray. Thoughts?

anyone know how to view the ranking of a friend? I click on the rankings tab and dont see a search function. And when i go to leagues and click on a friends page i still dont see their overall ranking. Help please?

Nice! You must be doing well :p

These are the guys on my 'unique' radar:

Libba
Prestia
Hanley
Buddy
Judd/Carrazzo (cheap bench cover)
Ibbo (dirt cheap bench)

Good list. Might start a thread on bench cover later.

Hopefully everyone doesn't end up with the same team, variety is good. Need to get into the Draft game next year, sounds like it'd be a lot of fun.

Thinking I definitely need some POD's.

PODs are good if you want to climb up the rankings (a lot of people that have similar teams will struggle to rise a lot, depending how low they are) but it puts you on a knife's edge because PODs are PODs for a reason. After late back tracking last week, I now have 4 massive PODs in my mids (7%, 6%, 0.99% & 2%), A little to many one might say.

One I am trading in this week but I may still go pendles

But what if a POD is a POD that is reliable, but just a less picked POD?

Its still a knifes edge because your POD fails, everyone else is advantaged. If you have a pendles and he fails, most relevant people are effected so you are only loosing to a few randoms.

So it is a risk in my opinion, but it has worked well for me

J POD's a POD that's a POD that you don't want when a POD that's a POD that's a reliable POD is the POD that you're after so if a reliable POD is the POD you want to POD don't POD J POD. :rolleyes:

Just about a keeper mate - 3 round average of 83, breakeven of less than 70.

You obviously already have 2 other active rucks?

I got downgraded Derickx to Martin last week, and i have sandi like everyone else. Im hoping that Martin can match Cox for points scored over the next 4 weeks, and then ill use martin as a steppimg stone to jacobs

Zorko > S. martin
Tyson> Ebert

Good move, Ebert has been a huge unique for me at 4.5% ownership. Take out the 2 60's where he's basically rested himself on-field... :mad: - and his scores read: 100, 127, 91, 152, 125, 112, 109, 115, 110, 136.

That's a half season average of 117.7. 3rd highest in the comp behind Gaz and Rocky.

One of the fittest players in the comp, usually has massive last quarters. Also a reverse flat-track bully....he runs a muck against average/top opposition but slacks off against shitty teams, so my only concern is RD 17 and 18 for him against my Tigs and the Dees.

Good points mate.

I'm focusing on my cash league mostly, so unique players that my opponents don't have will probably be the most useful.

I've done
Hallahan -> McGovern (zorko to mid bench)
Walker -> Gray

Wanted to hold Walker for bench cover but McGovern and C.Cameron will be OK for now. Means I've got a decent mid cover and DPP link with zorko at M9.

High probability of changing it all before lockout.
