First off we need to take care of the bye, but then......

We'll face the Dogs with hopefully Lewis, Lynch, Ward, Worpel, Gunston, Impey, DGB and Maginess putting their hand up for a return.

Who comes in, who goes out?

The sooner Ward and Maginness are in the team, the better. There’s no point in playing Shiels and Howe in the midfield anymore when we’re getting badly beaten. I would like to see Day in the midfield during the second half of the year, even on the wing.

Can add DGB for Hartigan as well, head scratcher why he's playing atm.

Well Day is struggling and Howe played a great game against the Dockers.

Ins - Gunston, Lewis, DGB, Impey
Outs - Callow, Howe or Shiels, Hartigan, Frost (Injury)
Impey has been poor, and didn't play at Box Hill today.

Personally, I think he needs to do what Worpel and DGB are doing before he gets another shot...

And Hartigan never should play another game ….. play Blanck!

Both Ward and Maginness going to be a big part of our second part of the season I hope. We need to get this midfield settled by end of the year.

Except we weren't badly beaten and Howe played pretty well.

OUTS:

Hartigan - out for good. He's not good enough and won't be in our plans moving forward, surely.

Callow - isn't up to the level unfortunately, and with Lewis coming back he will be sent back to VFL.

Frost - with injury.

Shiels - time to move on.

Howe - harsh given he was solid. But he is a depth player at best.

Morris - overwhelmed.

INS:

MacDonald. Ward. DGB. Maginess. Impey. Lewis.

On a side note - Day at risk of being dropped, or rested at least. He had his worst game today and has struggled all season. If Worpel is dropped for being poor, as he should be, then Day is running the same risk.

Agree with everything you say except for Impey. I would rather have Howe over Impey or even another youngster.

Bit harsh on Howe I think. He has actually been pretty good last month or so and is snagging a few goals which is actually a valuable trait as a midfielder/utility.

Agree with the rest.

Howe to keep his spot for the time being.
Ward hadn't kicked a ball in anger for a month so comes through Box Hill.
Lewis, Gunston are definite ins.
CMAC, worpel and Finn along with max would be a chance but that's too many changes. İnteresting/exciting times ahead.

Hawks are funny with Full Backs . It’s like we believe they shouldn’t exist . For years we plodded along with Schoey trying to hold down the spot and struggled and then Lake came along and everything changed . Having someone with physical size and presence makes others around them walk taller and often makes the forwards double grab at it when they are aware a big defender is in the vicinity .

It’s a tough one with Truck. No doubt our backline needs some physical strength and size and he provides that which helps others walk a bit taller. Unfortunately he falls over often which is a sign of an AFL player coming right to the end .

DGB is a few years away from having the body shape needed.

Blanck? Kozi?

I didnt think Hartigan was that bad. And he is clearly there while we look for a long term full back option.

He leaked a goal after he fumbled a mark and was out of position a few times but so were all our defenders.

A number of times they had 3 guys closer to their goals than us so its not just him. 2 other defenders were out of position too.

If Lewis and Gunston are fit they come back. Lynch too. Ward Im not sure. DGB for Hartigan probably makes sense because the Dogs are struggling to find a key forward.

Hartigan shouldn't play, Freo was another game his direct opponent might not have kicked several goals but ultimately he could have done a lot better in several of the goals we conceded. Sadly just a very average footballer.

Callow is only young but not up to it yet. Is he big enough for AFL KPP ?

getting closer to a break out game for the Hawks. Midfield were much better this week and our forwardline is clicking too

Lewis and Kosi are about to cause havoc and I am hoping they will start get some silver service

Could this be the week we nail it?

Who TF knows …🥲
