Lots of guys out there who aren't quite good enough at the moment (and maybe ever): Paton, Byrnes, Caminiti, Phillipou, Sharman, Windhager.

But it's not really their fault, it's the senior players who make these performances poor. The bottom 6 can't really be to blame.

Butler went missing, but was good early. Stocker was solid all game. Owens tried for the whole game which is more than I can say about the captain.

Time to dump the Spuds Game until the team can prove they can play in named games. We've been completely unable to handle them for years now, can't help but feel like the build up to this game saps the energy from the team.

We played about 20 good minutes for the whole game, we are lucky it wasn't an 8 goal loss.

There is a sense of occasion to big matches, see our 150th early this year but I feel spuds game is just a damper on the club.

Get rid of the professional coasters, and keep the blokes capable of keeping/ rising to a standard that brings winning results. Any of the crew that have reached their ceiling should be reduced to depth or f*cked off.

No point melting at the moment folks, this is not a quick fix and that was a top 4 team who have won 7 of their last 8 at that venue. Their strengths (deep and high quality midfield and two 201cm+ forwards) are also perfectly suited to exposing our current weaknesses. That’s right about the exact result we should have expected for where we’re at right now.

Inability to score is a big concern though.

Think we seen enough of the same 22. Time to explore some of the kids outside the team and see if they have anything before we delist them, also blood some of the kids as this is going to be a nothing year so let’s at leas use it for development.
