For the sake of not spending anymore time responding to everyone who's quoting me I want to say that I'm just letting out a bit of frustration and totally exhausted continuing to put my time and energy into the club.

It'll probably change but not anytime soon. If you disagree with anything I've said and/or will continue to put your time and energy into watching them then more power to you, I've got nothing against any of it just personally had enough for a bit.
Chin up Champ 😂

It's time for a boycott

Yep. It's time. It shouldn't get to this point but here we are.

For far too long we have put up with this crap from St Kilda. For far too long we have been told better things are on the horizon.

It's time we sent a message to the club that we as supporters aren't going to put up with this crap anymore.

It's time for a walkout and boycott. Let's stop being meek and actually do something.
And how, exactly, is that going to help the team improve?
The only thing supporters can do is support….or not.

I've been melting a bit, but farrrkkk it, it's needed.
Honestly, just rebuild properly.
Cut ALL the deadwood, go hard, and bottom out properly for a few years - get in multiple early draft picks to add to our last couple years worth.

I'm so sick of being given a little bit of hope, and the club absolutely hamming up the promise, to get fk all in return year after year.

Norf and Hawks will both have a flag before us. Easily.

Stuck a middling club for what seems a flipping eternity.

Doomed to insanity. Making the same mistakes over, and over, and over expecting a different result. That's on field. And off.

Cheers Sainters, take some more cash from us, release a new guernsey, that'll do :thumbsu:

Our pressure in the first half was 163, in the 2nd half 192- including 47 tackles.

Brisbane had just 56 tackles for the match, so we had almost that many in the 2nd half alone. Too little too late though.
Don’t need much finesse to tackle. That’s effort.
Its what we do with it afterwards which is the problem unfortunately.

I think that's what RTB means when he says "they're very coachable". Basically they don't use any judgement, they just do what the coach said was the plan. "He said bomb it long, I know there are four Brisbane players down there on their own but I guess I should still bomb it long."
100% what hit home for me tonight. No doubt he'd say things like "we need more numbers at the contest" and all our mids will repetitively get sucked into the contest leaving opp mods lining up on the outside. I feel like a lot of our players play like robots at times without instinct and feel.

said this in the pre-game thread ...I think it's pretty simple really. Miss our targets by foot and turn the ball over and we get smashed.

It's been the same sh*t for a decade. Nick Riewoldt finished his career having the ball delivered round his ankles.

People say oh but Richmond won with chaos footy. I don't care.

There are parts of our game that are pretty simple. If you try to kick it to your bloke, and you kick it to their bloke, over and over again, you're pretty much f*cked.

We need to bring players into the side with skill and the ability to make good decisions

Even some of our "better" players are guilty

They talk Hill up as an elite kick but he misses targets regularly.

Brad Crouch has been really good for us but he'll often butcher it going inside 50.

Steele isn't a good kick.

We look absolutely shambolic because of our lack of ability to execute the basics of the game. again, it's been that way for a decade.

Ross is a good coach, but he's not getting it done at selection or with the positioning of players.

Sinclair should play midfield every week. Owens should join him there.

I feel like us winning games early might have hurt us long term. I can't see us playing finals this year. So build for the future.

One last thing. Why the hell is Robert Harvey our forwards coach? And it was his call that Owens isn't a midfielder? Good one harves
What’s this about Harvey saying Owens isn’t a midfielder????

I don't want to make excuses but we were coming off a 6 day break after a tough slog in the wet against Richmond which didn't help.

We won't have any excuses next week against West Coast though, we now have a 9 day break, one more day than West Coast and they are ratshit.

I'm not going to melt after this loss and throw the toys out of the cot like some people here are but if we lose to West Coast next week I will be.

That is a must win game now, if we lose that it will be another wasted season and we may as well start planning for next year.

Apologies but you are half right - this coaching group is A+ - (come to training & have a look) - some of the cattle aren’t

up to it

The most important people in the club over the next 6 months are Gubby & SOS - praying they weave some magic!
In your own way i think ultimately we've agreed.

if the coaching group don't have the talent then they can't achieve.

Welcome to the 2023 Saints. The annual under achievers.

We will kick it to McGovern a few times but we will win by 13 points - we just have to keep Petrevski- Seton quiet maybe send Windhager to him

You don't know that. Ross is not the messiah. Anyway it's whatever, you do you.
Never, ever said he was the messiah. But he’s been to the top and knows what it takes.
An untried coach would never have survived this club. Imo.

I just shook my head at one point.

Forget who the players were.
Our guy had just as much chance of getting the ball as his opponent, you saw him pause and pull back, let his opponent get it , then try to tackle , but the opponent simply ran off with it.

I didn't watch a lot of the match or last week's match, but what little I saw of both, I saw Brad Hill work his arse off and get into everything, he is on fire right now, but just his disposal is so rubbish that it's letting the rest of his game and his team down. He's doing a decent job disrupting play and if his disposal was a little more damaging, we'd be talking about him challenging Sinclair for the B&F.

I saw Byrnes get dragged after kicking a goal, and his reaction afterwards seemed to be pretty emotional - felt for him. From reading the gameday thread, it seems the drag was deserved but harsh timing. Life is like that sometimes.

Hard to watch Steele, King, Wilkie, Marshall, Ross, Gresham, Windy, Hammer, Pou and co right now. Season is slipping quickly away. God it's shit to be a Saints fan and to always get teased by this club. Will we ever get it right again?
