Round 15 Trades

Guys,
Who do you think are the best 8 mids?
I have GAJ, Swan, Pendles, Jobe, Barlow, Jack and Cotchin (sigh)/Mitchell

Thinking of upgrading Goodes but to who? At the moment I have Griffen in but I'm concerned about heavy tags in the future. Can he keep it up?
What about dangers
Hes been pretty consistent since his round 1 debacle (when I traded him out  )

You've done pretty well there, that's a great midfield if you get rid of Cotchin. I reckon ROK is in the best 8. He ends years better than he starts them, probably because of his huge fitness base. Averaged 110 in the second half of last year and following a similar path this year and has a 5-round average of 116. Prestia might be in there too.

These injuries are just getting ridiculous. Also traded Boyd in last week, thanks for nothing Matty.

It's completely thrown my plans out the window, now I'm going to have four rookies on the field again (Dwyer, Staker, Goodes/Clisby, Mitchell) as well as Scotland, Rockliff and Cotchin who I haven't been able to get rid of.

Not sure if I should trade Boyd to Griffen or Pendles. Thinking I might just go Griffen for the sake of going unique. Season's already shot (overall wise).

I'd be pretty wary of Griffen, especially now Boyd is out for 3-4 with a broken jaw WTFFF... so he is guaranteed to cop the tag for a month. Prepare for a rollercoaster with him I guess, cos his history at Etihad not so good, and he should smash it against GWS and Hawks, but is poor against Bombers and Eagles (next 4). Having said that, he's guaranteed to be an upgrade over Cotchin in my eyes.

IMO, top 8 would have S.Selwood. Until he's back, presuming you've got Stevie J in your forwards, I'd have a sneaky look at O'Keefe, seriously. The old timer is kicking well and racking up disposals, while poor Hannebery cops the tag.

Boyd never gets the tag anyway so wouldn't be too worried about Griffen scores changing. Griffen will get tagged out of some games regardless of whether Boyd is on the field or not. You know this if you buy him but Boyd will not be the reason.

Griffen has shown to be more dangerous going forward recently though. This should help his scores stay more respectable under a tag then they have been in the past.

Does anyone think there will be a rookie to downgrade to next week?

There's Viv Michie, Jon Ceglar, Tom Sheridan and Matthew Arnot who all played this week. TBH, all of them probably have poor JS... Which means a double downgrade this week is probably the way to go (providing Daniher plays).

get around naismith! just for his name
And DPP

Rowe to Naismith definitely an option this week.

Cox, Kreuz, Nicholls, Rowe
Natanui in forwards.

Allows me to have my F7 cover for the inevitable Cox rest. (although it may not happen with if finals unlikely)

Side Question

Is anyone avoiding Hawthorn/Geelong players in choices as they look firmly top 4 and might rest players.
Eg: a choice between Bartel and Martin.

thanks to boyd i have to miss out on clisby, unless i start hrovat (yeah right). any other promising downgrade options in the next few weeks?

hmmmm... decisions decisions

would like to upgrade Macaffer... Roughhead, Bartel or Riewoldt???

Second trade a bit harder... i could grab clisby for some money or Daniher

Alternatively i could can my forward trades and trade the player formally known as Cotchin for Griffen or Jack.

any advise ?? ;)
