I dont think so. THis is the benefit having a fully stacked midfield with genuine depth.
We have cotchin, taranto, hopper, bolton all still doing the majority of CBA's. We'll beat the lions out of the middle with that midfield.
Cumbo is nearly as effective as Martin when talking pure forward. And dusty can be covered in the middle. I feel Martin's kicking is the only thing that will be a major loss.

Cumbo and Hopper are pretty good ins for Dusty and Prestia. Much better than say Aarts and RCD. Will be a tough game but I haven’t been all that impressed with Brisbane recently. If we get the game on our terms they’ll find it tough, they have a lot of players that can lose the plot.

Even with Cumberland who can be a handy forward, Dusty is a massive loss. It's his overall creative impact we will miss, not just the inside 50 work which Cumberland can possibly match.

But take last game for example, Dusty had 35 touches and a game high 8 score involvements, there's no way Cumberland matches that, we'll severely miss his overal output, even if Cumberland is capable of kicking as many, or more goals than Dusty.

We cant rely on dusty forever. Our midfield has to be self sufficient. Also you cant have 6 players get 35 touches so it'll create opportunities for other mids to get more ball.

Im just saying Cumbo is capable of close to Dusty's output as a pure forward and in the midfield we have quality players who wouldnt have the opportunity to play their natural games if both prestia and martin playing in the middle.

OF course its a loss but im just saying we are much better set up to cover it this year than last year. I think Lynch is the one we dont have adequate cover for.

It also creates a better mix of players with more pressure in forward half. Cumbo, pickett, graham, baker all great pressure players should lock the ball in with deep entries under mcqualter. Prestia midfield pressure will be missed though.

I reckon if we win it out of the middle we will have a very very good chance.

Huge opportunity for Taranto hopper and cotchin to all assert themselves as the dominant mids they are.
