Important VFL game this week as the 8th places Tigers take on the 7th placed Suns as the race for the finals heats up. It's probably the strongest VFL line up we've had for a number of weeks and it's no shock to see as we get to the business end of the VFL season. Being part of competitive games of footy can only aid the development of McAuliffe and Blight after both got a taste of senior footy in recent weeks. The Suns won't be an easy team to beat as they are fielding a side with 15 AFL listed players and we've struggled in previous games against quality VFL sides with plenty of AFL listed talent. So it will be a big test for us on Sunday. The game will be live streamed on the AFL site from 11am

Suns seem to have rested quite a lot of AFL experienced talent here. Massive match for the Tiger VFL team, who have defied all probability to get into the position they are to this point. We beat the Suns in Rd 1 and comfortably, on their dung hill. Now we welcome them to our lovely warm and dry mid winter conditions. Welcome to hell campaigners. :tearsofjoy:

We have about 10 changes from that round 1 team. Suns have a similar amount of changes to their team from that match so the two teams who will fight this out don't really resemble the two teams from rd 1.

Suns last 3 in Melbourne they drew with Sandringham, and beat Frankston and Blues both comfortably, so the Melbourne winter hasn't worried them too much so far.

Should be a ding dong tussle as they used to say, though I have no idea what a tussle is and also no idea where ding dong comes into it.

Fingers crossed our boys get it done, not least because I have some cash on them to win the whole schebang.

Yellow and black!

Back to the 2 hour gap between ressies finish and seniors start. Absolute disgrace. Was awesome a fortnight ago when was only 40 minute gap. It's too much expecting fans to watch a 3 hour game with 2 hour intermission to another 3 hour game. Especially in the heart of winter, it's like they want people legless at the footy. Magoos crowd will be 1/2 what it could be now.

It’s a long day especially in bleak mid winter conditions.

Ding dong it's the sound the clapper of the bell makes when it strikes either side.as in one side to the other..one end to that other
