Interesting .....do you think you would still have done the trade, if you weren't ranked as high as you are ?

Or are you presuming Heppell will be out longer than the indicated 1 week
Always wanted to trade Heppell, but after copping a few injuries and forced trades, I figured I'd just keep him. But this injury is tricky, I reckon it'll be more than 1 week. "hopefully" doesn't fill me with confidence. I'm betting on it being more than a week. The rank did also play a part, I don't trust my rookies, they're very up and down. Less trades might hurt my rank in the long run, but we have to take risks.

Next week if I really want to conserve a trade, I can turn McKay into somebody around $450k (any line). Otherwise I'll stick to the 1 up/1 down and get a genuine stud in the middle like Oliver for the run home.

Evening Kentleman,

Would really appreciate some advice please! I have 5 trades and 88k.

Thinking CCJ-102k Mid/Fwd
Weightman-Danger. Leaves me no bench cover for a while which is concerning but worried if I don't get Danger this week I never will.

Any advice would be outstanding!

Thank you so much in advance community :)

Agree .....last week I played the game as it should be played ...Neale and Docherty out, so play my bench players to conserve trades

Highmore for Doch, off two good games, pumps out a 49
Bianco for Neale, pumps out a 58
Cripps does his foot, and struggles to 89
CCJ gives me a glorious 5

Sometimes when you are benching premo's and your side also cops a couple of injuries .....it can be season over
Each time I do it ....that seems to happen to me, and has wrecked my SC season

In Fantasy, I've lived a charmed life

I give it my tick of approval.

Do you need to go all the way down to a $102K rookie though? Jeka ($123K) named and on the bubble, could get a run of games. Or Lynch could be worth a crack too.

If you do need to get a $102K, not sure if a M/F is going to provide a heap of benefit to you...I'd choose the player who might be a chance of getting a couple of games. That could be Ginivan, Callow, Saunders in that order. Ginivan happens to be M/F anyway.

Essendon have a history of one week injuries becoming four. I wouldn’t be confident Heppell comes back next week. I’d hate to own him right now and decide what to do

Back in de day

Brad Ottens 2 week inj.
Was like 15 weeks just came in before finals .

No Ginnivian ☹️ So Will Kelly or Jeka people?

The return of Madden and surprise selection of Brockman has saved me from 2 Fwd donuts and means that I can hang onto my one remaining trade for now. I'll be using that trade before long though to trade the worst of my star (Mid only) Mids to the best Fwd/Mid DPP player .... probably Neale >Danger. Being able to move Danger Fwd and Laird to the Mids will mean I can use any of my bench players, except the ruck, to fill my 22nd on field position and to cover for anyone, except a ruck, who is injured. It gives far better covereage than holding the trade for a one time use to replace just one injured premo. But, I'll be holding off on doing that trade as long as I can avoid donuts or until it's in danger of becoming unaffordable.

Evening Lads,

Any other ideas i'm missing here, thinking with 8 trades (prior to these), that I have the trades to move on Heeney. Losing by M/F DPP link here, but was hoping to get a M/F link through moving Bianco on one of the MIDs. Any other thoughts or inputs appreciated. 11.8K Cash FYI.
Cheers.

You have plenty of trades but f'all cash gen. How you you plan on upgrading your M8?

It's also difficult to work out/give alternative trade advice when you post your team with trades already made.

Personally I'd be doing something like CCJ > Ginnivan & Madden > JDG (if funds allow, I can't be arsed trying to work out if you would have the cash) you would then have no rookies on-field and sitting pretty with 6 injury trades.

I'm $400 short of CCJ + Waterman to J.Edwards + Marshall :(
but I don't know if I want to do that trade anyway. I can't afford to have more perma donuts, as I already have A.Fyfe, plus I'm carrying Briggs and FinMac

It's probably better to just keep CCJ at R3, hope he gets some more games, and then trade Waterman and Weightman to a rookie and Marshall

which rookie is the question... DPP is important, so ideally it's a DEF/FWD like Worrell to open up that swing. Otherwise it has to be FWD only or a MID/FWD rookie (to keep the MID/FWD swing open)

so at this stage I have two options...

option 1:
-Waterman to a FWD, MID/FWD or DEF/FWD rookie
-Weightman to Marshall

option 2:
-no trades
Wait a week to bring Marshall in (his BE is 88, so he won't rise much), and to see if any rookies pop up
If Waterman is dropped, I might be able to loophole Weightman and McKay at F6, depending on the fixtures, then I can just wait a week to bring Marshall in
I posted a few weeks back that Waterman would struggle to score in games against the top side on the ladder and Cats in Geelong. Essendon has a better run of games coming up and it wouldn't surprise me if he puts in a couple of decent scores.

Anyone else you can cull that has maxed out?
stevebbb did you hold Waterman in the end?

Thanks mate, appreciate the feedback. Yes, would have to cash to do the trades you suggested

Apologies, the above was
Heeney > Marshall
CCJ > Sharp via Danger.

The thinking above was to hold a couple of weeks for cash Gen via Madden & some of those mid rookies and then move Danger back to M7/8 and use that for an F6 upgrade. This leaving me with four injury trades and ruck cover (sort of, with 1 trade).

Thanks for your input mate. Dont know anything about Jeka. Can also afford Will Kelly but once again I've never heard of him.

I like the Lynch call as protection for Grundy.

Jeka vs Kelly vs Lynch I guess. Who would you take?

8 trades .

I'll think I'll wait a nd see what Madden gets be deciding on trades ...

I did the same with Waterman tonight (thinking he's no chance of getting to 60, so started thinking about all my options). Well, that 66 is good enough for me to hold CCJ & Poulter for now and make no trades this week.

With all the carnage that's been happening, I'd rather keep the trades in the bank. This gives me another look at the likes of Marshall & Bolton. And - thinking ultra positively - possibly allows a Zorko or Bont an extra week to come down in price.

When people are carrying the likes of Heeney or Hawkins in so-called completed teams, then a 66 on field isn't gonna hurt a great deal.
