Just on the Cox issue.. What are your thoughts on Jesse White being a downgrade to upgrade Hill > Goddard??

Way too risky, although it does have some merit. Perhaps you could go with Hampson from the Blues as your ruck and do the same thing with Goddard. Akthough you do want one gun ruckman, so if your 2nd ruckman is average you will need some consistent scoring in your rucks. I'd consider Ryder as a back as well.

I have both SJ & Goodwin.... TBH, Goodwin is the standout performer. Bang on 100 (or therabouts) week in, week out. SJ has been horrible for me though I did get him later in the season. Both have injury clouds over them so it's a tough call.

Yeah i would go Goodwin over SJ. I was keen on SJ until he scored 34, 120, 44 or something like that. It reminded me how inconsistent he can be even though this "hip" injury could have been the cause.

You know Goodwin will grind out 90-110 each week. Fitness being the only worry. SJ is attractive because he's capable of the huge score however it's a Fev-like high risk / high reward thing.

I am happy I picked Boomer Harvey 3 weeks ago when it was Davey v SJ v Boomer v Porps (for me). SJ hasn't played, Porps scored badly last week and Davey has disappeared.

It's a pretty risky move going from an avg. of 111 to 55 to upgrade a player who averages 66 to one who averages 115. From this you can easily deduce that this is in fact a downgrade and will cause you to lose points, unless you think White will start averaging better and/or Hill worse.

Well you do need a playing reserve, especially with Davey and Brown in your forwards, as they may finish their season's early if the clubs want to lose the rest of the games. Brown starting is a huge worry for mine, he is solid but is hardly what you want as a starter.

would have liked to ditch brown a few weeks ago but had zibell, cox and walker to get rid of first

I'm going on form though.. Cox won't play for at least 2 weeks plus will he be back to full fitness? I'm liking White at the moment.. in form and surely will play out the year? Hill is going ok and Goddard well, Goddard is Goddard..

This is my team ATM, I have 5 trades left and thinking about making 1 more upgrade maybe. I think it looks pretty good:

Backs: Goddard, Enright, Hargrave, Gilbee, Hodge, Mackie and Gram (Grima, Silvester)
Midfielders: Hayes, Selwood, Bartel, Gibbs, Rich, Griffen (Muston, Meyer)
Rucks: Hmac, Kreuzer (Currie, Spencer)
Forwards: O'Keefe, JBrown, Deledio, Lovett, Buddy, Higgins, Didak (M.Brown, Walker)

I have 145k banked. The players I might upgrade are probably Kreuzer or Lovett. Griffen and Rich are absolutely steaming at the moment so I'm not sure if I want to trade them (yet). Suggestions?

I think your just lacking that one good 110+ avg midfielder there.. otherwise that side looks rather stable..

I can easily upgrade either one of Griffen or Rich to Corey/Goodes/Mitchell. I could also trade Griffen to Joey Montagna, Nicky Dal or anyone cheaper than them.

Have 5 trades left and am going Kosi > Goodwin this week.

Anyone think its worth going Grimes > Drummond now and sit on 3 trades, or hold off on the Grimes trade and sit on 4???

Current defence is: Goddard, Newman, Gilbee, Hurn, Hodge, Grimes, Broughton.
(Pearce, Petrenko)

Yeah tough call. I am thinking of offloading Grimes. But I also have other concerns in Cox & Krakourer.

This is my team , I have 6 trades left ..$155K

Backs: Fisher, Gilbert, Drummond, Gilbee, Duffield, Broughton and Grimes (Suban, Cheney)
Midfielders: Ablett, Selwood, Judd, Gibbs, K.Cornes, Pendlebury (Muston, Anthony)
Rucks: Hmac, Cox (Jacobs, Spencer)
Forwards: Goodwin, Fevola, Deledio, Pavlich, S.Johnson, Higgins, Krakouer (M.Brown, Walker)

Any help guys would be greatly appreciated. A game clear on top of my league with two tough games to go. Would like to win league. I was thinking Cox - Kreuzer and then Krakouer for N. Riewoldt and then see what happens with Grimes but on the other hand I keep looking at maybe Krakourer for Buddy (before he goes up) and then Grimes for either Hodge/Goddard (before they go up anymore)

Can anyone help us please

Cheers

Me too. White will play out the remainder of teh season at FF. He has shown he is capable there and what he has been groomed for.

My rucks are McIntosh & Kruezer. White is my reserve. Though for the first time this year, I'm tempted to put White on the field in place of Kruezer. Swans are playing Melbourne in Canberra so I'm expecting White, on a ground he is very familiar with, to dominate at FF. Kruezer however, against Collingwood is probably less likely to score highly.

Think I've just talked myself into it.

I'd still go with Kreuzer...

With Fraser out for at least another two games I think i'll trade him. Not sure whether to trade in Jolly or McIntosh. Leaning towards HMAC as it'll give me some more cash in the bank to upgrade Ballantyne later on. It would leave me with two trades left.

5 trades left, $237k in bank. Would like to get ranking as high as possible (am 315), but realistically I am only playing for league. Got 2 pretty easy matches coming up, and virtually have top spot sewn up.

* Bolded = will/would like to trade
** Bolded PLUS underlined = injury concerns

B: Goddard, Fisher, Gilbee, Newman, Ellis, Broughton, Grimes (Cheney & Petrenko)
M: Ablett, Judd, Dal Santo, Selwood, Montagna, Anthony (Dangerfield & Muston)
R: Petrie, Tippett (Jacobs, Spencer)
F: Riewoldt, L Davis, SJ, Deledio, ROK, Higgins, Roughead (M Brown & Wright)

So many things running round my head...Grimes > Chornes, then D'field > Pendles (leaving a stack of coin for final 3 trades)...SJ > Franklin/Goodwin...or really roll the dice and trade Ablett and bask in my mountains of cash??

Anything stand out??

Roughead to Franklin would be an option

For sure, that was what I was thinking during the week, but that was before injury concerns to Grimey & GAJ, and when I thought that SJ would probably return.

Still worth some thought though...am soo sick of Roughy's inconsistency.

Wanting to trade Ablett stands out a bit. :)

Yeah, I know. On face value, it's a sickening thought. But given he plays for Geelong, where 1 week is just as likely to equal 4-5 weeks, I thought it may be worth thinking about. Even if only misses 2, I/we still may be better off trading him in to the next best, and using the money elsewhere.

Is all just pie-in-the-sky stuff anyway, i won't have the stones to do it. :(

with 5 trades and $450K in the bank, i am thinking about trading hurn for drummond, worth it or is hurns 51 from last week and one off and is he worth keeping???

still have to upgrade skipworth in forward line, possibly roughead and could upgrade jude bolton if he continues his average form

thoughts??? is the hurn drummond trade worth it based on my other possible trades??

here is my team

Back: Goddard Drummond Newman Gilbert Grimes Broughton Hill (C.Pearce, Petrenko)

Mids: Montagna Ablett Judd Selwood Pendlebury Anthony (Muston, Robinson)

Rucks: McIntosh Jolly (Meeson, Jacobs)

Forwards: N.Riewoldt Okeefe Pavlich S.Johnson Fev Higgins Franklin (T.Ruffles, Ballantyne)

although my team isnt perfect (only avg. of 2080) i dont really know where to go with it. im only going for league win obviously and its worth a lot of money. im second atm % behind 1st. i have 2 easy games to come and 5 trades and 52k in the bank.

thoughts on what to do? keep grimes? trade pav or sj? im really unsure. advice from some of those real good supercoaches out there
