Well...

- We were overrun in that 2012 GF, the extra days' break your mob had got you over the line, plus we still had the tail-end of that gastro virus running through the camp. It wasn't to be. In the 2011 Prelim, Collingwood completely outplayed us in the final term. Full credit to them. We shouldn't be labelled as 'finals chokers' just because we lost two close ones in consecutive seasons.

- Don't really care about Geelong tbh. We have wood over them when it matters: GF day. They'll never beat us on the biggest stage.

Essendon vs. Hawthorn - by 31 (49,000)
Gold Coast vs. Carlton - by 20 (12,000)
Melbourne vs. North Melbourne - by 66 (11,500)
Collingwood vs. GWS - by 63 (33,000)

Port Adelaide vs. Brisbane - by 4 (24,000)
Western Bulldogs vs. West Coast - by 10 (11,000)
Sydney vs. Richmond - by 15 (29,000)

A couple of Hawks' fans showing us love. Sydney will be a class above at the SCG.

I'm pretty apprehensive about this game. With Hawthorn and Geelong (at Geelong) to come in the final two rounds, we really need to nail this one to have a decent chance of finishing top 4. But Richmond have embarrassed us the last two times we've met. If Richmond get their fast running game going and their disposal skills are "on" for the day, they might be hard to stop. Our defence is susceptible to two decent tall opposition forwards, given most of our long term injuries have been to our core defensive group. We certainly don't have anyone who's a natural fit to play on Riewoldt so the key will be preventing supply.

Essendon v Hawthorn- 18pts (49k)
Going to be a cracker. Unfortunately I think Hawthorn's class will prevail in the end; will be too strong across the ground for the Jobe-less Bombers.

Gold Coast v Carlton- 16pts (17k)
Great opportunity for the Suns to string together back-to-back wins at home, and I reckon they'll do it. Very important match for Carlton, but unfortunately for them they seem to lose these sorts of games more often than not.

Melbourne v North Melbourne- 49pts (21k)
Borrinngg......

Collingwood v GWS Giants- 57pts (33k)
Pies typically struggle to get themselves up for these games, but even then they should prevail pretty easily.

Geelong v St Kilda- 40pts (31k)
Will be interesting to see how the Saints handle an unfamiliar ground (haven't travelled to Geelong since 2004). They'll come to play in spite of this, but I'd still expect us to win fairly comfortably.

Fremantle v Adelaide- 38pts (34k)
Dockers easily at home, at Footy Park it could've been fairly interesting.

Port Adelaide v Brisbane Lions- 12pts (24k)
Port have struggled against Brisbane in the past, but given this is at home and essentially an 8-pointer for them I'd expect a win their way. Lions could cause an upset but Port will try and ensure not to lose games like this.

Western Bulldogs v West Coast- 19pts (16k)
Dogs will give it another red-hot crack, but if the Eagles are serious about getting themselves back into finals contention this is a game they won't drop. Wouldn't surprise me to see an upset though.

Sydney v Richmond- 17pts (28k)
The 2nd most interesting game of the round behind Essendon v Hawthorn. Should be a close game from start to finish, with Sydney's class and home ground advantage proving to be the telling factor in the end.

Essendon vs. HawthornEven with Buddy looking on from GWS’s secret underground bunker, the Dawks should be too good for the guinea pigs. Hawks by 22.

Gold Coast vs. Carlton … At the start of the year you’d have penciled this in as a win for the rapidly-rising Malthouse inspired Blues. As it turns out, Malthouse’s inspiration has been minimal at best. Suns by 16.

Melbourne vs. North Melbourne … Poor old North. If at the start of the season they’d been given a bag of – let’s say 15 points – to be pulled out and added to their scores at the end of any matches they chose, they’d probably be top of the table right now. As it turns out the only bag they got was a bag of ****. Still, Roos by 23.

Collingwood vs. GWS … Insomniacs all over the country won’t miss this opportunity to catch up on some badly needed sleep. No one cares about the Giants. And the only joy in watching the Pies is watching Bucks go apes**t in the coaches box. Sadly, this week he won’t need to. Pies by 49.

Geelong vs. St Kilda … The cats are on the rebound. The saints are on the rebuild. I know who my money’s on. Cats by 55.

Fremantle vs Adelaide … I’d love for the crows to recreate last week’s form. It would really help my Swans top four ambitions. And it would spare us all the chore of listening to the Freo song. Sadly, I’m getting the earplugs ready. Freo by 18.

Port Adelaide vs. Brisbane … Brisbane have proven themselves giant killers this year. I suspect Port aren’t quite giant enough. Power by 23.

Western Bulldogs vs. West Coast … At the start of the year I tipped the eagles to win the flag. For their sake, I hope this tip is more accurate. Eagles by 24.

Sydney vs. Richmond … The Tiges have ruffled the Swans’ feathers in the past but you’d have to go with the Swans at home. Swans by 20.

Ha Ha gold. You have Freo kicking 2 goals 25 points. Classic!!!
It was the only way I could get Adelaide a win as your defence will restrict our own opportunities.
