It’s not a great sign that we are banking on teams having injuries just to be competitive. If we win of course I would be happy but to some degree it’s would be just another bandaid on a festering would
It would be fair to judge team expectations on this game. We're essentially completely injury free now and are facing a team placed around where we think we should be on the ladder. You could use the Touk excuse before this game but now it won't stand. As a fanbase we should be expecting a win here if you remove the emotion of the last fortnight.

Not sure we should be favourites st kilda were pretty good considering how many injuries they had on the weekend. Their small forwards always kill us and should be a consideration at selection table. Lemmens, long, uwland should all be considered, weller to wing as he can't defend.

Yeah agreed, surprisingly I'm pretty confident we win this, don't know why though.
I'm cautiously optimistic. St Kilda always seem to perform well against us and appear to win the close ones with us every time. Having said that, this Saints team looks pretty depleted and we're virtually 100% healthy. So on our own home deck I think we're going to win. I'm thinking it'll be like the Hawthorn game with a smaller winning margin for us.

Witts to feed Anderson and Rowell giving them first use.
Marshall is great around the ground but really struggles against the monster ruckmen of the comp.
Saints will bomb it in and Ballard will intercept everything.
Expecting a very close game with the suns just getting over the line.

We desperately need Weller’s run of halfback. He's playing the role Nick Daicos and Jack Sinclair play off half-back. It is not a defensive role. The game has changed.

Putting a designated kicker back there is a bandaid solution, and easily countered. Our leading patterns, lack of support in our run game all needs a major overhaul. We ticked off the first step to the problem on Tuesday. It would be like a nfl team with a gun quaterback who only launches 30m passes
