I wanna go Bartel (especially seeing as my opponent doesn't have him), but the potential Dunn tag is worrying.

Like Dunn will affect Jimmy. I would be worried about him sacrificing his game to block for Gaz again like the start of the year.

you would think they would play ablett off half forward for most of the game and only giving him a few runs in the midfield especially against melbourne so dont think blocking will be a problem

Gazza wants Charlie. If hes ready to go, hell be going at it hammer and tong in the midfield. The only reason he would play forward is if he wasnt 100%, and if he wasnt 100% he wouldnt be playing.

Neil Balme said he was raring to go for tonights game, but I take what he says as a grain of salt, hes a lying devious deceitful man.

Now we know he's almost definitely playing, is anyone considering Ablett?

The guy i'm up against in finals also has Bartel but not Ablett, so I'm considering picking Ablett to try and get the jump on him hoping Ablett hops straight back to his earlier form.

Is this just wishful thinking?

I am gonna have him as captain and chuck Stanton as VC. Against us its likely Stanton will chop up but Abletts Ablett. You can't go past him.

I am definitely considering Buddy, however do you think playing at Aurora will affect his scoring?is it a smaller ground? last game against the lions he scored 127 and missed 6 shots at goal!

Its a massive ground, I think its actually the biggest used in the AFL. Has a very swirly breeze, makes kicking on goal a problem. Tall forwards rarely do well down there.

I hope Jimmy does well as I'm leaving him as captain, but I suggest you try not being so ignorant and blinded your love of the Cats. Everyone can be stopped on an off day.

Clearly you don't appreciate the DTer that is Jimmy...Anyone who has watched him in the last couple of season knows that when fit no taggers can keep him to a low score. I'm not talking about actual influence on games etc, just DT influence.

Dunn tagging him may reduce some of his marks, but guess what, he'll just make up for it with more tackles.

So next time you run your mouth, how bout actually knowing a bit about the player that your commenting on. I have watched upwards of 30 games at the ground this year, observing not just the cats, so far from ignorant or blinded. Cooney and Black are not in the same league as Jimmy DT wise, as good as Black is he's actually an average Dtmer.

But whatever, people can not make Jimmy captain for all I care.

Let's face it, Bartel can beat a tag in DT terms without many dramas. Ablett is back in and will still cop the number on tag as he is far more devastating to the outcome of a game, and not to mention that Bartel is red hot at the moment.

I can't see him having any trouble hitting big numbers against Melbourne, who probably won't worry the scorers too much this week, and we'll probably see half the Geelong team score 80+ in DT.

Yeah that ladt 1/4 was horrible, still 99 isn't all that bad, he was tracking for another 140+ game though so pretty dissapointing.
