Happy to stick my hand up and say I was one of the melters in the first quarter. It was a very melt worthy quarter but I should have had faith we'd turn it around.

Definitely impressed with our ability to respond to poor starts but would like us to not allow this to become a habit.

Monster performance from Lachie tonight, clearly back in career best form.

Need some way of voting for Neale several times.

In lieu of that, Hugh was great, Zorko fought hard and I really enjoyed the bits of him running off hb and bursting up the ground, that was good. Berry and Adams to fill out, Berry was good running with Merrett and Adams I think played a credible defensive game despite that messy start.

Lachie, Starcevich, Hugh, Darcy Gardiner and Noah were my top 5.

Not sure if he makes my votes but shoutout to Joe, worked hard today and could've had a huge game if he wasn't impeded in every contest he went near. How badly he was manhandled all game was just about as bad as I've seen.

I'm not complaining about the win but we need another high quality midfielder in there to help out neale and lyons and I don't think Rayner is the answer.
Agreed, we need a big body in there. Berry doesn't look like becoming it, and Ely Smith is never going to make the first team with how he's played in the reserves. Hopefully Jimmy Tunstill can be that guy.

I thought linc was one of our best when we were arm wrestling.

If we play like we did in the first quarter against a good team they’ll drop 50 on us.

Easy to forget how little all of Rayner, Cockatoo and Berry have played the last year. They're only going to get better and better as the weeks progress.

Following that we have Robertson who you'd hope can be best 22 at some point and then #1 draft pick Ashcroft next year ;)

If anyone thought we could've traded Lachie last season and be better in 2022, that game is Neale's reality check for us.
Who the in the hell thought that? I'm gobsmacked that Freo and the Eagles didn't want him, though that was an even bigger lol.

Harry Sharp only had 5 touches and will make way for Mitch, but you can absolutely see be will be a very good wingman in years to come. More pressure acts than Robbo had last week too - showing he's not afraid to tackle and pressure (which some outside wings are).
