While Cordy had some costly mistakes, the good definitely outweighs the bad.

His positioning within our defensive system is class and finds himself at the right place at the right time, more often than not. It helped Collingwood don't have a gorilla KPF that can expose his size.

As RL said about Bonner in the presser, he did good things for 99 minutes but had one or two mistakes that were costly. You continue to be brave after it and not go into your shell.

Psychological safety is a vital for workplaces to thrive in 2024 and RL has created this environment for the club. What a man.

Seemed pretty even to me. Even in the members where I was there was plenty of saints fans, all getting up and about

From my vantage point in the Olympic stand, the MCC went bananas when Snags slotted it.

Obviously heaps of neutrals behind us.

It was very obvious that the Filth end had heaps of empty seats (in their away reserved areas that they kicked up a stink about retaining l).

3 games ago they win a flag & the rats are already deserting the leaking ship.

Goes hard too, he made Daicos look pretty soft a few times with his attack on the ball.

It was a thing of beauty and I bet the coaches love him for it.
In fairness, Daicos makes Daicos look pretty soft.

Bloke makes Craig Devonskirt (as my old fella used to call him) look like Conan the Barbarian.

Watched the replay and can we discuss how bad the commentating was. BT ruined the goal of the year, no insights on how the game was won and the tone when mason wood was injured was school boy.

We were well represented. Not sure but looked 50/50ish. At Malvern station some Pies supporters were saying how they knew heaps of Saints supporters and that "if they'd been successful they'd be a massive club". There were heaps on the station and train at that time so might have been a fairly biased call.

Our little crew have the opposite experience on the Hurstbridge line…

Thoughts:

  • The proper arrival of Marcus Windhager.
  • Sinclair's spot in the AA team this year will be taken by Nasiah. (Sinclair will be better for the run)
  • Wilson. Never. Stops. Running.
  • The return of the most competitive player in the league, Mitch Owens.
  • I know why some don't love them, but every premiership team has their Ryan Byrnes or Zac Jones.
  • Is it possible Max doesn't rip a game apart his season, still kicks 50 goals and we are a better team for it?
  • Phillipou had a deliberate snap shot at goal from 55m out. He kicked it. Read that again.
  • Get Josh Battle's signature on a contract please.
  • Tim Membrey is playing quicker this season, and he's still effective.

In future. Use the Sen sync feature they released.

Game. Changer.

It's sounds weird but they actually seemed to be there like Collingwood were using it to slow the game down and set up ahead of the ball. Lyon released his manic speed game and the Pies looked flustered. Sydney did it to them in a more polished way too. There were a few times where I thought that the umpires didn't call obvious ones conscious of the count.

They absolutely were. The end to end goal we got with marking interference frees was clearly a tactic.

They usually get away with it.

More than a year down the track, and I still have no idea why Carlton delisted Stocker.

I know he doesn’t get heaps of it, and when he does he’s pretty conservative when choosing an option, but he’s strong, clean, cool under pressure and tough as they come.

Carlton delisting him makes absolutely no sense, but boy I’m glad they did.
I have the same thoughts about Bonner and Port. Pushed out by others in front of him perhaps. Astute recruiting to pick him up for nix.

This is a true story.

Club did the work via an external company about “how big is our supporter base” around the time they released the membership ad with all the greats on the train saying stkilda goes from the peninsula all the way up?

The outcome was our numbers match any of the so called big vic clubs.

The issue. Lack of success made it easy for supporters not to commit.

But we had a stupidly large number of fans who attended a game or 2 each year and never sign up or haven’t re-signed since their original membership (going back as far as the 90s)

Voss thought he was soft. Not a Voss type player and wanted to make a statement to his playing group.

Wasn’t big on Stocker coming from Carlton - very ordinary footballer - I was wrong again - hard at it, big body and growing in confidence!

Love King working up the ground more rather than just wrestling in the goal square. Gets him involved in the game & energised. Great outlet for our under pressure defenders.

I like that we kicked some goals and looked dangerous with Sinclair not really having an impact. Seemed like he was our whole offense last year. Obviously you need stars but you can’t have a gameplan that means you’re reliant on them.

I don’t think that was a tagging job from Windhager, that was just pure beast mode. I hadn’t forgotten his 2022 season which is why I banged on all off-season about hopefully not playing him as a backman this year. He has all the traits we desperately need in the middle.

What I love about Windy. Someone posted an under 18 Vic Metro basketball game. In the team was Josh Giddey/Dyson Daniels. Windy was playing as an undersized gaurd. Lets just say he was scrappy, explosive gaurd who just willed his way to being in the game.

Another thing, any worryies over POu's development, just watch how Windy has shown up now. Pou will follow suit soon enough.

Ross clearly knows that Windy is going to be a star, last year was an apprenticeship for him to work on the defensive side of his game. This season he's got the licence, if we could get 10-15 goals out of him too, that would be the cherry on top.

We would have absolutely cleaned up with 70k there.

500k+ I’m tipping.
Considering we paid $100k to transfer...I heard it was about break even (at 70,000)

~42k - public
13,200 - AFL
14,650 - MCC inc.
(5,800 - - Vis. Tix)

Wow what a win.
Picked StKilda in tipping as I feel we are building something special.
Kept seeing No2's back at CBA heading straight away from the TV camera angle through a gap get ball and go. Great sight. Have a bad foot injury so had to watch on TV.

Filth will use free kicks as an excuse...they were all there. Bit we did get the rub of the green. A game like this sets up the belief in a young rising team.
Win against the premiers on the big stage at the MCG when they need to win says a lot about where we are headed.

Interesting to hear Kane Cornes eat humble pie smug little campaigner. David King did say he rated us because he saw us train...old Army saying...minutes in reconnaissance are never wasted, seems pretty apt.

Whole team all did their bit and everyone has highlighted the individuals so not much more to be said ..so bring on Druggies and we will smack them by 40 points.
