Could not give a single s**t about those trying to downplay the performance by pissing about the umpiring or Higgins goal.

We were incredible, took it to the reigning premiers and smacked them in the mouth when they tried to get back in the game. It was glorious. Savour it.

The first quarter the Pies were all over us. They got every single lucky bounce. They had an extra player at every contest. They had everything going in their favour. To fight back from that was immense. The umpires gave us some soft frees for once, but most of those were there. Collingwood played seriously undisciplined footy. And we ended up pressuring them enough to make them look silly.

I saw a comment on Reddit last night which I thought was really great. It went something like "The ultimate gigachad move is St Kilda requesting to play Collingwood at their home ground, and then beating them"

The Pies are the reigning Premiers. Don't listen to the media or the peanut gallery trying to downplay their achievement last year.. They won the flag 4 games ago. We went to their home ground, a place we don't play very often, and took it to them and beat them.

They didn't have injuries, they didn't have a 5 day break. Frankly, they're more match fit than most teams.

And once again, as was so often the case last year, our younger players are the ones that make up the difference. Our drafting of the last 3 or 4 years has been better than any teams.. It's insane. Darcy Wilson might be the steal of the last 10 years. Liam Henry played the role that I guess most people dreamed Gresham could do. He was immense last night. NWM played the game of his career, it almost looked like he was playing a different game to the rest of the blokes out there last night. He demanded the footy, and went at 81% disposal efficiency. No surprise after I looked that up, his kicking is elite.

We have wing options for Wood…Hill, Henry, Byrnes or Wilson…by the time Dow is ready, Jones could be out injured again.

I don't think the ball tracking tech would have changed the outcome of the Higgins goal. I thought it was for detecting collisions, whether it be from a hand or from a post.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt they're going for boundary lines as well. They can't even get decent cameras between the goals for goal reviews.

The “new” tech that Eddie McGuire talked about last year is like the soccer chip thing. It supposedly shows in real time boundary, goal and other line calls. So I suppose it would, in theory, have stopped any contraversy.

My point was more that if you wanna bang on about a boundary/goal call being a howler catalyst for the change, Keays goal was, cost Adelaide the win and was unquestionably wrong.

Higgins goal sealed a win we almost certainly would have had anyway and can’t be definitely proven either way (I thought it was out last night but the more stuff I see today the more I think it was in).

Surely the Max incident gets downgraded to low impact and a fine .... Macrae got straight back up .... how the fk do you grade that as Medium impact .... what a *ing farce the Tribunal is

I actually don’t mind the pies. I like the way they played last year, Pendles is a superstar and their supporters sitting near me at the 10 replay were very kind but…

I don't mind the idea of opening round, but every team needs to be included. I'd love another week of footy. Opening round, round 1, Gather round. I love that the new rounds are extra games, but it needs to be for all teams. Even if that means all the games are played out of Victoria, or at least out of Melbourne/Geelong.

It's an unfair leg up in its current format.

Just on Jack Steven - I reckon Windy last night was the first Saints midfielder I’ve seen since Steven who could really cause sustained damage at a stoppage with speed (& last night his disposal was a lot better than Jack’s)

He also kicked a great soccer goal out of mid air against the Pies around the same time when we got belted by them.

He provided some rare bits of sunshine for us back in some dark times, a shame we never had him at his best when we were a good team.

Irrespective of Kings action the club must challenge so a to back their player who has FINALLY added a physical element to his game, and to send a message that we're not just gonna take it in the rear every time the AFL say so.

Henry and Mase is awful news but we've got Lance, Gus, Hugo, Hammer and Ari all ready to go, so it's backs to the wall again and fight like rabid dogs. Windhager's team is going places.
