But this is miles better and in every way more resembling of a footy team with a huge talent deficiency, not last year where we rarely resembled a footy team and when we did we looked like one that wasn’t trying.

They’re trying their ass off. They’re just shit at footy. Mind numbingly shit. That turns over time as you add talent (and nice to see some of the kids showing signs when they do). Being completely blown off the park and not laying a hand on the opponent doesn’t turn over time.
