If the crows can beat the Giants, the lions can definitely beat us. There is never a sure thing when you have to jump on a plane to play footy.

Agreed. Brisbane will give it everything in front of their home crowd. We usually drop games like this so I hope that we've learned from it.

Green to Green: Remember to limp off at the end of the game so I don't have to play against the old side.

Just saying.

Haha, I love how none of us are comfortable, at all. Brisbane looked reinvented. Hipwood, Schache, Andrews and McStay is a cheeky little spine they have formed. I am a fan of Hipwood in particular, has that "absolute prick" aura that Parish has.

We have to bring the same this week.
I suspect Brisbane may be a bit like Carlton last year, new coach, young players with a few older heads playing well and producing some early wins before falling away a bit.
It is a real danger game as far as if we do not bring our A game we can get punished. We should win but at this stage i would be saying 60/40 game.

No change. But id have Zaha on notice. So many times in that first half when it was his time to go and he didn't. Stood back and waited to tackle, was flat footed and got pushed off. I honestly think Howlett would suit our side better then Zaha. His second half wasn't even that great. He was covered by everyone else working there asses off. First game I understand and touch and hardness is sometimes something that comes after a game or 2. But we are a chance to be 3-0. No passengers after that if we are

people asking for 4 changes to a winning side?

please!

we dont even make 4 changes in a 10 goal loss...

From all reports the players stayed in the rooms post match for ages having a good old yak (hepps words)

Woosh would love the group bonding excercise - id be suprised if they were to break it up so soon.

is tbell an improvement on smack? its hard to see him plaing a game like smack just did. So he keeps his spot until he shoots the vfl lights out.

The old essendon would always lose this game after a great victory. did we lose to brisbane at Etihad in the last couple of years after a great win?
We lost to them in 13.

I've got bad news fellas. Apparently we played our grand final last Saturday night, so the boys are on Mad Monday today. Paddy Ambrose is forcing the young guys to skull jugs of jager or "I'll fix you up worse then I got that prick Hill from the Hawks last year". The team will be too hungover to win. Lions by 60.
