What has happened with Jake in the past seasons is that he will be picked for 2 - 3 shield games and wont make a run in them.

Then, on the cusp of being dropped, he will make a century in the next game and thus holds his place for the remaining games.

10 FC hundreds in 10 years somewhat confirms this theory.....

He has a touch of the Graeme Wood about him. Woody kept extending his Test career by making a score at precisely the moment he looked like being dropped, and Lehmann is similar. Maybe his century in the 2nd XI game should have served as a warning to the selectors

Who moves interstate for grade cricket? Wouldn't pay anywhere near enough to justify that

We tend to find the Peirsons and Nesers more difficult to dislodge than the top order.
