Why trade Tippet/Clark down to Seaby?

Wasn't the intial thought process behind recruiting a Tippet/Clark to be a keeper? SO they have started poorly and will drop in price but does it really matter how much they drop in price? They are good players and will be back scoring well in no time.

As for my team im considering one trade, Trengove ---> Silvagni. It provides me with a little bit of extra cash and better cover to a defence with Waters and McGuire starting and Nason on the bench. I think I got the Trengove selection wrong.

I worry about Clarks status as a keeper. He isn't a seasoned premium, he was only one for the second half of last year at which point burger wasn't in the side. Now that he is back, his scores have fallen and I don't see any other reason for it.

I agree, it's the reason why no one should have paid 410 for clark full stop (i did)...

clark to sandi is a done deal if you don't have him.

My midfield: Bartel, Cross, Gibbs, Ball, Barlow, Bastinac, Martin, Trengove.
Considering Ball to Kornes? Good move or a waste?
Or would Ball to Howlett be worth a shot?

I realllllly don't want to trade. But... I don't think I can resist Clark > Sandi. I have Clark/Tippett in the ruck and .. its just not doin it for me!

I'd like to have the stones to keep clark and hope for the best but with leuenberger and clarks current scoring.... I think I'll have to trade. Knowing my luck Clark will start to own it up :<

i have clark also, and personally i will be sticking with him. i recon he can bump his average up to about 85-90 as the season goes on and someone like seaby will probably drop his average to around the same, or maybe even less. so its probably a completely side ways trade apart from the bonus of having a lot more extra cash to spend on another upgrade.

i need to cut my losses with sam wright and the only way i can do that is by getting rid of someone like ball. having started the year with only 2 rookies on the field i feel its a risk i can take.

having problems with who to trade ball for out of

trengove
jetta
howlett

..already have shuey,bastinac,martin and barlow.
is howlett/jetta going to last in their respective sides long enough to be good cash cows or am i better going with a safe bet like trengove (22 games guaranteed).

cheers

My faith in Clark has been wavering but after a weeks of deliberation I'm going to hang onto him and hopefully he repays the faith. Only other concerns are Tippett and Gray at this stage for injury/form. Tippett has been in shocking form yet he is up against Carlton and Melbourne in the next two weeks a great way to score goals, but apparently he hasn't been training properly with some knee injury will be interesting to see if his named. Gray looks like a good chance to play according to the Power board.

Hi guys would appreciate some feedback on the following:

Which one would be more benificial in your thoughts?

OPTION 1
Mitch Clark> Aaron Sandiland

OPTION 2
Jobe Watson> Trent Cotchin
Robbie Gray> Ryan O Keefe

OPTION 3
Jobe Watson> MIchael Rischatelli
Robbie Gray> Jonathon Brown

I wouldn't think so. Unless you have problems with cash production. If you have a few rookies that are out or potential otus in the future then it mite be wise to trade in another one to gain instant cash but if you have enough rookies likely to rise in value soon then i don't think it is. Keep the faith with Meddy, Ziebell you can't get evry bargain and they are likely to get better. But in the end it depends completely on your situation but if you happy with your other rookies i really wouldn't do it. If you must trade 1 i'd suggest Ziebell.

Thanks for that. I'm starting 3 mid rookies so I should be sweet for cash cows. I might hold off for now. Thanks for the advice.

initial 50k freed
gain another 50k. after this week.

potentially make 150k, gain a 7th forward for the year and upgrade a midfield rookie to a gun in a couple of rounds.

Why did you pick Hall up initially and what has happened that has made it a mistake so far?

In both games he has been triple teamed at times and he has kicked poorly which is odd for him. Last week he scored 55 with 1 goal and the Dogs rarely got out of 2nd gear.

I'll look to trade Hall out when he has made 90k instead of before he loses 15k.

The problem is that unless he scores 56, he's going to fall in price, but hey he might finally pull out a big one for you.

For me, aslong as Peterson is named, I'm doing the Wright to Peterson trade.

Doesn't matter, even if he keeps scoring at his current average, he wont drop by more than 10k over the course of the year. Source: Too Serious.

Had it with Gray not going to play this week, and who knows If they are going to risk him against Geelong the next week a game which they know the result will most likely be a loss.

Gray -> Ballantyne
Gray -> Franklin

Crunch time decision.

Yeah, but if he keeps scoring at his current average you have a player priced at 190, averaging 40, who you will have to double trade up to a fallen gun, plus you are losing points keeping him on the field. However, if he can somehow start scoring 60s, he will increase in price greatly, but I don't see him doing that on current form.

Ball to McKenzie is looking good. Also tempted to trade Clark to Sandi, but will prob save the trade and upgrade Hille to Sandi later in the year. Sandi will eventually go down in price.

Well I've moved Pods onto the field to cover for him so hopefully the ts midfield can hit him on the tit a few times. If he kicks 3 goals then he should be good for a score of 60 at least which would do me nicely. But we've already had this discussion :p

Very interested to see if and when Howlett gets back into the Bombers side. Would it be asking too much for him to spend 3 weeks out?

lecras has been named which is good for my team but do i get rid of him to get peterson (whos has been scoring around lecras's 09 average) in his two games so far and price will rise by about 200 k. but also hoping lecras plays midfield which would pick up his scores

Hey guys ... like everyone with Clark I'm looking at a sideways early trade to Sandi before the price change ...

But my other big worry is dud Matthew Bate ... was thinking of an early bail out on him ... downgrade to Duncan or Petersen ... keep the profit in the bank and use the rookie as a quick return cash cow to then trade up to a season long premium keeper in a few weeks time

Would appreciate any advice on what people think about that

I've decided against trading as even though Medhurst has been a huge dissapointment thus far its ridiculous to judge a player on just 2 weeks and I have no other pressing issues so why trade for the sake of trading?

Starting teams fine but need the rookies fixed so went :

Farmer to Silvani
Moore to Duncan

Hoping round 5, Hitchcock to Rockliff.
