Maybe I'm biased but I don't recall Worpel attempting to take advantage and getting dispossessed; I remember him slowing down and putting his hand up to say 'No advantage' and getting shat on in a way I've never seen before. An historical quirk is that when the Eagles are good they've had trouble with lowly Queensland sides (and Fitzroy in Melbourne too)

1991 Eagles made Grand Final and lost to wooden spooner Fitzroy in Melbourne
1992 Eagles won premiership and drew with 2nd bottom Brisbane in Queensland
2011 Eagles made a Prelim and narrowly beat 3rd bottom Brisbane in Queensland (8 points)

Great game, really enjoyed it from start to finish, was open and free scoring and the crowd wa really engaged, great game to be at !!

This win really opens it up for us , win all 3 and top 4 beckons, such an open season who knows how far we can go, as good as Richmond are they are not unbeatable...

Short answer, no. If that were to happen, in similar fashion to the players there would be no takers for the job. With all the funds the AFL has they should have professional umpires. I have no idea of their pay structure, but obliviously it's not enough to attract the quality demanded by the footy public.

He must be a good luck charm & very little else because his contributions in most of those games was negligible. I don't really see what he adds that Ceglar wouldn't in the same position, a bit more endurance maybe but he is even slower than Ceglar if anything and far less likely to mark the football.

Only reason I'd keep him when McEvoy comes back is if Clarko wants to move Gunston to the backline.

Hasn’t he been injured for a good part of the year - Achilles

Is no coincidence our forward line has generally looked more function with Schoey up forward.
Allows Rough to play higher up the ground

Much rather Schoey than TOB
