Giving Grimes one last shot on the field.. please deliver, cmon Neeldy mate what are you trying to achieve in turning your young captain into a tagger for? Unleash him as a bona-fide midfielder!

I wouldn't be giving him another shot after what he has dished out recently. The only thing he has going for him losing the tagging role is that he is s#!t at it. Has been towelled up by Wells and Ward in the last couple.
And I think you mean Craigy.

Averaged 105 last year with Beams playing all but one game. Can't go wrong with him imo.

Seriously considering him but I'm mindful of having three Collingwood mids at one time.

Yeah I have the trifecta already (Swan, Pendles, Beams) so not going to worry about getting him in. Plus my mids are well and truly complete - Swan, Beams, Ablett, Scooter, Griffen, Barlow, Pendles, ROK. So no need to bring him in.

May be a good point of difference for some people though.

I'm more concerned over the back line. Premo's are seriously hard to come by there, or at least consistent premiums. Henderson has one more week to prove himself after last weeks game - although did have a 40+ point 2nd half. On top of that, Gibbs has a great record against Tigers and Bombers and I'm wary of trading him out. Although I feel I need to get Hanley in with his recent form, possibly even Ellis too as I like his run coming up. Stupid of me to trade him out after his 18 but you live and learn. Ibbo was traded last week so dodged that bullet

1 trade locked away Terlich to Hanley
Which do people think gains me the most points.

Trade M9 for Jack
Play Jack and Buddy

Trade F7 for NRoo/Bartel
Play NRoo/Bartel and Priddis

Leaning towards trading in Jack and Giving Buddy a chance v Saints

F!*@#%$ Grimes...

Jack Viney -> 89k spud

Leaves me 200-odd grand in the bank..

Jack Grimes -> Tom Rockliff (via. Ricky Henderson DPP)

81k to spare. Could change, depends if Mundy is named or not. Word over here is that he's carrying an ankle injury and is likely to be rested against the Giants.

wtf did titch seriously get tagged on the weekend? i thought it was just exaggeration. what a beast, getting tagged in his first season of afl. still getting rid of him though

Nah he didn't. He was played as he has been lately, purely as a half forward. Picken played at half back as he has been for most of the year and it just so happened that they lined up on each other. Just a normal forward/back match up.

People started going on about it because most people still think Picken is a tagger.

Grimes to Hanley is a given.

Stuck on the 2nd trade.
Could really do with some advice/opinions on what you guys would do with the 2nd trade.

Team after Hanley trade

Goddard, Heppell, Gibbs, Enright, Hanley, McKenzie (Clisby, Thurlow)

Ablett, Swan, Pendlebury, Barlow, O'Keefe, Griffen, J.Selwood, Cotchin (T.Mitchell, McKenzie)

Cox, Kreuzer (Grundy, Currie)

Johnson, Rockliffe, Voldt, Martin, Kennedy, Roughead (Christensen,Staker)

Cash after Hanley trade is $174,900

Team looks very good my friend, if I were you I would go bundy->bartel and then play him a head of roughead

not sure what to do, here i've done ibbo-> hanley and staker-> hansen (will be nervous of having stokes on field and gibbs on the bench)

or i could do staker-> N Roo and Rowe-> McBean

What should i do??!?!?
Cheers in advance.
Hey Kierez, how about that awesomely fantastic win on the weekend, I think every Port supporter should want Chad Jnr in our sides just coz he's so awesome.

How about Heath Scotland? They don't come any more immoral, and he's back in form.

Haha what a gun! But sadly not an elite DT midfielder...yet. Definitely getting him next year, I reckon he's gonna be DPP mid/fwd!!!!!

Yeh I think Hanley has more upside than Scotland (a bit of a risk considering he's done well for only 2 weeks) and plus Hanley is the only 90+ def I don't have. Also I'm not confident in stokes so that's why I'm thinking Hansen or roo

thanks for the tip though!!

Thanks mate. I was thinking along similar lines, but was thinking Harvey as a POD. Thoughts on Harvey? Has looked in good form recently.

Scotland - Well, 2 weeks and the last 7 years or so ... I don't really like him that much as a footballer, but he's DT gold. Loved trading him out to Clisby a few weeks ago ... now I'm going back.

As for Wingard - yeah, he's in my 2014 forward line already. Robbie Gray is now officially my 2nd favourite player [but still good bench cover for the remainder of Dt 2013].

Yeh not a bad idea, he's doing well considering how he cops the tag a lot. I was worried about his tough draw but smashed the cats. 50/50 between him and bartel. He's playing essendon this week, is hocking playing? I reckon he will do well regardless

It may not have been a full-blown tag, but it was certainly more than your usual close checking defender. Picken was roughing him up a fair bit and Mitchell on one occasion got sucked in and gave away a free for retaliating.

You can guarantee Mitchell won't get that kind of attention from any of the Collingwood defenders this week.

That's just Picken though. It's how he plays every week on his match up. He's a lockdown defender and Titch is about the only Sydney small that spends enough time forward to get that match up.

Mitchell will probably get Marley Williams I reckon. Will probably be another tough match up for him. It's unfortunate that his midfield time has disappeared.

Longmire want Titch in his DT as a forward next year

Not sure whether to keep Ibbo and Gibbs?

Is Scotland back to his high-scoring ways?

Persist with Roughead for this week (Hawks are playing St. Kilda this week)?

i would keep Gibbs but if Ibbo is injured and you need him to score then yes or if he is your D7 then to hanley/enright would be good

a lot of people in this forum think so, im not touching him mainly because its a tad bit risky considering its final (having said that im intending on picking up lachie hansen LOL )

and yeh i would, unless you dont have rocky, bartel, martin or Nroo

Apparently Ibbo is "more than likely to play" according to Ross, cant really trust him but god I hope he plays and plays kick to kick vs GWS.

Reckon I might keep Grimes, according to my intensive research he scored tons vs his next 3 opponents last year, but then again he wasnt playing as a freaking tagger and actually playing as a legit mid.

High chance of me ending up in the vent thread as the following occurs:
Q1: Attempts to tag Gaz, fails.
Q2: Moved to tag Prestia, fails.
HT: Subbed out with tight hammy on 34pts. I rage, curse Grimes with ancient Mayan spells and destroy something.

Nicholls --> Grundy

Not sure on 2nd trade

Hunter/Carter --> Griffen/Barlow

Griffen vs Barlow?

Griffen plays Carlton, Adelaide, Brisbane & Melbourne
Barlow plays GWS, Melbourne, Port, Saints

I finally am getting rid of Jake Neade, hallelujah!

Terlich -> Oxley
Neade -> Griffen which moves Mitchell to M9

Next round:
Clisby -> Hanley which will relegate Gibbs/Ellis/Malceski to B7
Carter -> Rookie B/C

had enough of grimes crap in the backlines, and still got goodes sitting on the pine so back in comes ellis for goodes, and in the centres i can get anyone under $457k, so going slightly leftfield here and bringing in redden for t mitchell. emergencies by line - grimes, deledio, nicholls, mayes
