Round 20 Trades

Stantons form doesn't really warrant a tag.

I hope you're right, Stants is looking shot like the latter end of last season. He needs something to give him that spark back again.

Titch > Beams
Rowe > Grigg

Next week:

Clisby > Hanley/Griff

I'm now looking at either:

Stanton > Watson
Priddis > K. Jack

Or, keep Stanton and get some cash for a bigger upgrade:

Arnot > 89k
Priddis > Griffin

What would you astute folks suggest? I'm low on cash, so not many options.

not sure what to do, here i've done ibbo-> hanley and staker-> hansen (will be nervous of having stokes on field and gibbs on the bench)

or i could do staker-> N Roo and Rowe-> McBean

What should i do??!?!?
Cheers in advance.

My thoughts for trades this week:

- Will likely give Scotland a go
- Will probably hold Malceski, 2 of last 3 bad scores were influenced by minor injuries
- Worried about GWS taggers vs Freo, might consider trading out Barlow for Griffen/Beams
- Hoping Cannon can go well vs Melbourne but will have to look into that further
- Probably trade in Titch for a true premo, though still think he'll be an ok M9
- On field team is 100% premo so deciding who to swap out each week is really hard

i would still keep barlow,he's flying and he rarely gets the tag. giants will defs go to mundy and fyfe :)
i would keep titch and trade malceski/cannon for enright/hanley if that is possible

Thoughts are

Option 1
Terlich > Hanley
Titchell > Beams
this leaves Clisby and Priddis as back up

Option 2
Clisby > Hanley
Priddis > Jack
This leaves Terlich and Titchell back up

Classic case of best on field or compromise the field to have stronger emergency

Any input welcome. Either way I think getting Terlich from D6 to Hanley is gonna happen

option 2, terlich isnt going to score that much more than clisby.
T Mitchell > Beams
Stanton > Griffen

Mundy to M9

Was thinking Buddy to Bartel, but buddy has cracked the ton last 3 games v Saints, and Jimmy is hardly killing it...
buddy is horrible, he's not playing as well as he has in the past

By all means, if you have bigger on-field holes, I wouldn't hesitate to downgrade Staker. The DPP is handy but not a deal-breaker.

Not worried about Scooter sacrificing himself against Stanton? He sacrificed himself vs. GAJ this week as per usual. I know he got 98 which is still not bad.

i dont really think he 'sacrifices' himself, he works both ways like kane cornes. tags and then gets some touches offensively. his big scores have come from tagging as he gets a lot of points from tackling. plus montagna is capable for 60s/70s which is very dangerous considering its the finals

Nicholls to Grundy is a soda. Will probably do that even if Grundy isn't named.

Not sure about my other trade, though. I need to upgrade M8 and would like to be able to keep Tom Mitchell but my insipid bench of Carter/Hunter won't allow this.

Looking at Scooter, Griffen, Beams and Cotchin.

Get Beams if not Griffen then COtchin then Scotter

TMitchell -> Griffen/ Jack or maybe Sidebottom (killing it recently).

Picked up Sidey for the Gold Coast GWS double Collingwood had. The massive one against Essendon was a bonus.

Not sure about Collingwood draw with Hawks, Geelong and Sydney in 3 of last 4.

And for me getting Beams for a four pronged Collingwood midfield seems funny.

Hey guys Im kinda stumped with what trades to do this week :p

Team: (ranked 1000)
God, Hep, Gibbs, Ibbo, Eski, Mckenzie (Grimes, Thurlow)
Swan, Ablett, Pendles, Barlow, Jack, ROK, Jelwood, Stants (Titch, Hrovat)
Cox, Berger (Nicholls, Naismith)
SJ, Lewis, Stokes, Rocky, Dusty, Cloke (Staker, Bennedy)
17,500

Problem I have: Stants, Eski, Stokes, Staker
Problems I dont have :): Hanley, Ellis, Griff to name a few I want :)

What are my best options for trades??

Thx so much!

Stants > Beams/Griff

Priddis > Beams

Second one not so sure about. Mitchell might have hit a wall and might even be due for a rest. If thats the case then he is out for sure.

Mitchell > Wellingham
or
Staker > Pavlich

Both will be for bench cover really - Pavlich would be more likely to get a start on the field though.

Who do you guys is the best ruck besides Cox? Money no object.

Kreuz seems like the majority favourite and therefore "safe" option, but Im liking the look of Mummy or might even jump back on the Leuy bandwagon, who seems to be scoring nicely and also a sole ruck unlike Mummy.
Havent really paid attention to any others, although big Will Minson has served me well in my Elite team just dont think he is up to normal DT standard..

Giving Grimes one last shot on the field.. please deliver, cmon Neeldy mate what are you trying to achieve in turning your young captain into a tagger for? Unleash him as a bona-fide midfielder!

Wanted to axe Spuddy so bad, but as someone mentioned he has a good history vs Stk apparently so Ill also pardon him for one more week, man arent I such a forgiving, kind-hearted coach.

Sidebottom is an interesting one. Scores have picked up since Beams came into the side. Less attention from opp coaches maybe?

Averaged 105 last year with Beams playing all but one game. Can't go wrong with him imo.

Seriously considering him but I'm mindful of having three Collingwood mids at one time.
