So a carbon copy of our last two games. Get four goals up, put cue in rack - regardless of when in the game that is. Mount a spirited comeback, squander a couple of key opportunities and take an "honourable loss" against one of the competition's best sides. The bloody presser writes itself.

Yes. Falling short again.

Goalless quarter.

Same old same old.

Talked up the oppo, creating a losing mentality in his own players. Instilling fear in your own team is stupid.

Will blame the players hardery longery.

Loser #sackhinkley

Instead of losing it over Charlie Dixon do what I have just done and look at the incident.

Firstly there was no free kick as Dixon had both arms in the air contesting the mark. Secondly he does not appear to give away a 50 metre penalty as he looks at the umpire for direction while holding the ball.

I have replayed the incident(s) several times and cannot see a free or a 50 metre penalty. The whole thing is a farce and shows the depths to which Gilion McLachlan has taken the game.

Spare Charlie folks and save your venom for the real culprits - the ****ing green maggots.

We are badly coached across the park. How can a Dixon/Marshall/Georgi forward line be made to look so impotent? Why do our opponents have free players in F50 when we have flooded everyone back? Why do we think a midfield of Boak, Wines and Gray is going to be as good now as it was 5 years ago? Why do we go in our shell at four goals up? Why are we only capable of playing connected football for one quarter a week (albeit it can be any quarter)? Why do we over-possess the ball? Why are our F50 entries so random?

None of these are new issues. It's time they were addressed.

Looking forward to some answers in my next customer email from Richo...

Modern AFL a brutal game. Some really hard unpopular decisions need to be made to send the club forward.
Jonus,Grey ,Motlop, trade Hayes and see if clubs are interested in others.
Coaching it looks to me that Kens allmost had enough. And knows his times up and the club needs a new direction

First time I have felt any emotion for this team all year. For all our losses this year I just shrugged my shoulders and changed channel.

I was genuinely annoyed today. I knew Port would lose as the team is incapable of winning important games, especially milestone games like today. Yet to be schooling the Collingwood defence in the first quarter was really good football. As soon as the junktime goals in the first happened I gave up and so did the team.

I have never been more disillusioned as a Port supporter and I've been a Port person for 40 years.

Put the sack Hinkley stickers ALL over the place tonight. Put em up in broad daylight.

SPP has turned out to be one of our consistent best players

Butters looked like he was on the improve

Rozee is something special

Marshall played well

Burgoyne will be a star

Bergman, Georgie and Duurs have to improve.......they can all be something special

I didnt watch any of the game
But i do know this

Port winning in a nothing game against Richmond is a sure thinf next week

No. You would say it’s bizarre, but it’s not. We know any other game they would have replayed it, but they don’t want to this time cause they have nothing to gain from it. Either it was the wrong call and port got rekt by umps, or it was the right call, which they’ve already assumed it is.

Nothing to gain.

Mickey Mouse league
Josh daicos was in the vicinity so it must have been a free

Lost in the moment but a clutch shot by Jase in the dying moments was an amazing way to bring up your maiden goal. Thought he preformed well all day and to get us with in a sniff in the dying minutes is a personal feat only marred by 2 shithouse quarters of football.
