Dunstan yes, has stagnated. Weller & Newnes have dropped off dramatically & gone absolutely backwards
Rors……..those stats are eye watering.

To say they were alarming would be a massive understatement.

Sad part about this game to me is that at the start of the year both Essendon and us had high expectations of playing finals. Back then I had pencilled this game in as a 60:40 win. Now despite the fact that the Bombers have been generally disappointing and won't play finals, most of us are expecting a flogging. Sort of puts our season into some kind of perspective.

Anyone have any idea how our backline will look and who will play half back? Armitage was there last week, surely not again? Newnes is named down back so I'm thinking he might play there? I feel like that is newnes best position but he seems to be named down back every week and never plays there. Looks like we are a defender short if armitage/newnes/ someone else doesn't play off half back.
Geary, McKenzie, Webster and Rice. That’s one position we’ll never be short on.

Good players have off games but a shit season thats a different story all together. You cant blame the preseason thats garbage.
You're kidding with that statement right? Pre-season has a humongous impact upon player fitness during the season and its really consistent when you look at out of form players across the league that they had a hampered pre-season. Very rarely do players bounce back and have a great year afterwards.

Newnes' 16/17 seasons were very good and then suddenly had a terrible year after missing almost the entire pre-season, it's no coincidence.
