Strategy to minimise letting opposition back in: don't lose two players to injury.

Seriously though, we were fantastic for the vast majority of that game. The fourth was disappointing but understand how we let through some junk time goals. Ultimately though, we get a win AND something to work on heading into the Saints game.

Feels like we're ready to take the next step. A few tweaks and not losing players during the game and I think supersayan Brisbane is ready to appear.

With all due respect since when has junk time been half way through a quarter?

Yes, we must do all we can to keep Dan McStay. He was excellent. Oscar was so much more positive......still lagging into throw ins but really good.

All the guys that were under pressure to hold their spots did super well.

Joe was even more useless than usual.

God you love potting Joe. If you actually watched the game you'd have seen the leads he constantly put on to take defenders away from other forwards.

Brilliant step in the right direction.
Went from a spits and spurts team/1 quarter or half a game team to a 3qtr and 10 minute team.
Which is a step in the right direction.

Oscars best game for the club imo.
Matho deserves to definitely hold his spot.
I really hope we don’t go back to Robbo to replace AhChee he is cooked, need to bring back Prior. Happy with Robbo for the sub again.

Good win as a whole but man we can get scored against so easily when the pressure drops off.

I do wonder whether it was a message at 3QT to save some legs knowing the turnaround to Friday’s game. Had to be something because I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a team wide mental shutdown from a team who had their opponents on the rope like we did tonight.

8 goals in a quarter is quite concerning.

I just don't think we can play 3 or 4 consecutive games without a lapse like that. Probably puts a grand final out of reach right now.

It was really good to see some key players starting to build some form though.

Let’s make it 4 quarters against STK in Melb!

Matho is a bloody legend.

Overlooked. Told he has nothing to offer the ones, you belong in the twos.

Kept up his energy and love of the club.

And when given the opportunity, he took it.

Good on him. He's my new Mitch.

When a team is 50+ points up in the fourth quarter, the game is over.
It should be but somehow we allowed victory for them to be very possible with a few minutes left when it should of been snuffed out beyond doubt in the opening minute of the 4th quarter. Just should have been playing possession early in the quarter to take the sting out of it.

Doubt it, to be honest. Think you’re clutching at straws there Squizz. The look on Fagan’s face, for a start.
