Some talk of O'Brien being rested to get Jacobs to 200 games. A joke if that happens. Are they trying to win a premiership or bringing up individual milestones.
Would be a laughing stock. Again!

Wanted to bring in J Kelly but it sounds like he may take another week. At least this way I don't have to curse every Treloar possession.

If O'Brien is out this is what I am looking at:

Even though Witts has pulled up fine from his knee complain, thinking of trading him out regardless.

Witts to Gawn
rookie to rookie

I'll have cash in the bank to improve my side next week. Stewart, Salem, Neale, Danger and Heeney are on notice (lowest 3 rd avgs)

Yeah saw that. Weird given they are still thereabouts for the top8. Surely not.

I need an answer for this also.

If I say Williams, will you come back at me with who to trade out from Stewart or B Smith?

Purely going by the run home, Stewart out. Geelong apparently have a tough run home for backs. Crows have an awesome run home for backs. I rate Stewart higher as a player than smith though, but Smith hasn’t done anything to say he doesn’t deserve to stay. And the run home appears great for crows backs according to the traders. So I guess Stewart.

And EDIT as 4tune8 pointed out, Smith is through the middle. So the above analysis does not help. Though the outcome appears to be the same. So it does help. But doesnt. But does. Stewart out. Any other questions?

Who would you chose out of the following:
  1. Stewart and BSmith
  2. H.Clarke and Crisp/Williams
Just need the highest scorers for next round. The safe option would be pick 1. But I think Clarke could match BSmith/Stewart in scoring (Freo gives lots of pts to def) and Crisp/Williams would do well against their respective opponents (Mel / Haw).

Haha, don't we all.

Smith is playing more mid/fwd, hence the higher scoring...so him 1st

Stewart was trialled on a more wing role last week, would expect him to go back to that release def role.

Clarke getting more mid time is worth a shot as a POD

Crisp has also being playing more of a mid role and with the Pies injuries looks set to stay there.

Williams role might change with Jelly back. ( if Jelly not back then he's a lock for the 3 with GC rnd 23)

Could you do Smith + Crisp?

I could do Crisp / Smith, but that would mean using my 2 trades. I was planning on using the other trade on ROB > Gawn /Greene (dpp), but will wait til Thursday teams. So it’s a toss up between who scores more between the two defender combos I’ve listed above.

Really good insight to all those players listed. But the weather is heavily playing into my reasoning, given the cold snap coming through (ie less marks, more stoppages). My thinking is the following:

Smith - Agree with that assessment, but just hesitant given we’re up against WCE. Believe they’ll destroy us in the centre.

Stewart - His high scores are dependent on getting 5/6+ marks. Given the weather, don’t see that happening this werkend. Further, he doesn’t seem to like a hug.

Clarke - quite consistent, disposal/mark wise. But with the rain, leads me to believe he’ll have a lots of hugs.

Crisp - Had same concerns as Stewart, but if Crisp is running through the centre as you say, he’ll do just fine in the wet. .

Williams - No rain forecast in Sydney. He average 100+ playing UNSW this year playing down back. So with Kelly coming back, won’t be as concerned, but would rate Crisp over Williams.

So in short: Crisp > Williams > BSmith > Clarke > Stewart.

Playing a night game in Canberra. Temp range 2 - 5 degrees. Light rain until evening
