We know he is playing pending shoulder rest or surgery, he is obviously having a tough emotional time - you don't get your grieving done in 7 days, and chances are he didn't get to his cousins funeral so missed out on the family support that makes a big difference.

He isn't playing well today but probably shouldn't be out there. I'll not be signing a retirement card for him just yet.

Exactly. You've basically got him packing his bags off the back of his injury affected form. Maybe your gripe should be with the medical staff who cleared him to play.
