OK 1 trade left and 4 live league Prelims this week. That's the good part, the bad part is that I'm still holding Gaff and also have Heater and JKelly (geez I hope he gets up!).

My last trade was going to be Gaff to another premium mid $521k to spend (like Mitch Duncan). The Shaw injury might skittle those plans though as my defensive cover is only Lienert and Cole. So if I traded Gaff I'd have to rotate those two through D6 for the last two weeks! Not ideal.

I have Boak and/or Ahern to cover Gaff if I end up holding him and trading Shaw instead.

I think my options are to stick with Gaff trade to one of Duncan, Selwood, Pendles, Adams or Ward

or

Bring in a $450k def (like Crisp) or a fwd of same value (Buddy/Hoff) via swinging T Mac back.

I'd love to be able to sit back with the def E on Lienert and the mid E on Boak and assess after their early Saturday game but my top 4 premium mid trade in targets play in early round games and won't be in play if I need to do some scrambling.

Decisions/Decisions.

What's your thinking on Witherdon? I feel Crisp is a better option personally.

Going by their respective seasons to date, Crisp is the better option. I just like Witho's kicking (2/1 kick to handball ratio) & marking game (7.6) & good D/E (78%). Also with only 2 rounds to play I was looking at the draw and most recent history vs upcoming opponents. In Rd5 vs GC (in a loss) Witho had 27 possies, 14 marks & 127 points & Vs WCE in Rd18 last year he had 28 possies, 5 marks & 105 points (in a heavy loss) so 2 of his best games from his short career size sample have been against his upcoming 2 opponents. That and that I see him as DochJnr and plan on starting with him next year. These last 2 games being a dress rehearsal.

I heard from a Carlton insider that the knee actually went in to the base of the quadricep muscle and top of the shin bone

I heard from the club doctor that he has bonus eruptus. It’s a terrible disorder where the skeleton tries to leap out the mouth and escape the body.
