Re: Round 2 Official Teams

Hill starting in the centre.......hrrrm interesting.

And poor Mcdougall, i would have thought he would get a gig against the saints considering their talls.

Strange move....

Re: Round 2 Official Teams

Would street play if Eagleton actually isnt ready? Seems unlikely Harbrow would come in based on Gotch's description of last weeks Willi game.

Re: Round 2 Official Teams

Dont bother looking to much into where they have them starting that all changes on match day anyway.

I hope Eade gives Hill more game time this week :thumbsu:

McDougal not named at Williamstown either so must be still injured.

A bit nervous about their tall forwards. But will be heading to the Dome tomorrow night confident the boys can bring home the four points.

Re: Round 2 Official Teams

yes but Goddard at 50% would be better than Raph clarke at 100%. Its a good inclusion for them whle we lose higgins.

also i think Goddard has played a couple of games at Casey.

........................but we get Eagle back - he was better than Higgins in R1

Re: Round 2 Official Teams

Agree. Eagle for Higgins is a win based on round 1 form.

However Callan being in instead of Higgins is a loss based on the team we had for Round 1.

Saints are practically at full strength (maybe Baker who is still suspended), we are very close. All our absolute most important players are playing. The only real weakness for the Dogs is some of our best youth we need to continue to develop are injured in Ray, Williams, Higgins and Harbrow are all out.

Hopefully we can go with them early, that I feel will be the key. Stating the bleeding obvious but we can't let their power forwards impose themselves early. If we can stay with them and then gain some run and confidence we can win.

I just can't see it. If he was versatile enough to possibly play a role down back, maybe, but he isn't, and neither are Minson and Hudson. I think if we were going to bring in a tall as a last minute emergency it would have been someone who could play down back if we needed.
I think Harbrow would be the guy to come in if Eags doesn't get up, it's a better balance.

Absolutely. We have nothing to fear from St Kilda. We can beat them and we will.
