Cripps and Miller will both make money. Maybe not as much as NVB right off, but enough that the trade itself may not be worth it. For a guy who historically struggles to top an 80 average, when young AND healthy?

Don't think your alone there though, generate some cash. Good advise above. I think you are in good position.
I think save trades is your answer as you have all the best cows, bar one.

I'm guessing you wouldn't be for Goodes --> Savage either haha

Actually, quite the opposite. Cripps to NVB, you're moving from the guy the Blues want to be the face of the franchise, to the aging midfielder coming off an injury. It's a move hoping soleley for a little bit extra cash generation, with neither player likely fitting into your final mids 8.

Goodes to Savage, you're moving from a fringe player who is struggling to stay out of the seconds, to a guy solidifying as a nice little half-back in his 2nd year at a new team. Savage has potential to slot in as a D5/D6 at year end.

Is trading Bartel to Bont then using the cash to trade the Burger to Nic Nat a sensible idea? I want to get on the NVB bandwagon but i think fixing the ruck rather then chasing a cash cow is more important. Thoughts?

How much more? If he averages 80 from here to the bye rounds (obviously this is interpolating 80s every week for him), he will be worth ~$386,000 by the end of round 10. That's $171k, minus the $100k outlay that's $71k and a trade. If he scores a lot more points than the midfield rookie he is replacing then that needs to be factored in but I don't think he will score substantially more than Vandenberg or CEY. If you're iffy on Cripps as an m6 then his points could come in very handy thus making him worthwhile otherwise it might be prudent to let him go.

This also assumes that Miller/Anderson begin to generate some cash too and do not remain low scorers.
Touk Miller, I'd be surprised if he lasts another round after this one, has been awful. Can't see him averaging more than 40 even if he does play.

What the hell do I do with Lids? Almost considering trading him to Lonie and pocketing the cash.
Is NVB worth getting into this team? I have 30 trades atm

first thing you need to do is deal with your luenberger problem. Youve got no DPP ruck coverage so you will have to trade him as he has been omitted. Brodie grundy is averaging 93.5 and owned by just 4% of teams could be a nice POD and should have better job security. Blicavs is also an option if you have the cash for it, Otherwise there is bellchambers but he hasnt exactly set the world on fire.

you have all the essential rookies, if you have the cash to turn miller into van berlo i would do that because i cant see miller making too much money with his scoring so far, whereas VB could earn you a quick 150-200k. But i would not trade cripps to VB as i feel cripps has the potential to earn just as much money, and he is only a week behind and should play every week from now on.

$22,600 is all i have to play with, Wanting to do the trade of Bartel to Bonts because i feel they will score about the same and it frees up $120 grand to help else where. If you had to choose between Brodie Grundy + $120 grand or Nic Nat what would you do?

So you think to hold on a Cripps ---> NVB trade. Means I'll only use 1 trade left and have 28 remaining, which I happy with.

Might even punt on Cripps on field over Vandenberg

I wouldn't be trading Bartel.

yeah i think cripps will still earn you similar cash to VB once its all said and done so its probably an unneccesary trade. Becuase we can only get rid of 2 rookies per week, its not really that much of an issue if a couple of your rookies are a week or two behind in terms of price rises because you can just leave them on your bench to fatten up whilst you get rid of your other rookies.

in terms of which midfield rookies to field its chook lotto really between ellis-yeolman, heeney and vandenberg. if looking to try and make up ground on the rest of the competition going cripps would be a smart move as a lot of people have traded him , but if he spuds it up it will hurt you a lot

Yeah thinking if I keep him might field him and hope for a nice 100 next to his name haha.

The other problem with trading Goodes means I'll have to bench one of Kmac, Oxley, or Saad. Undoubtedly I'll choose the wrong one I bet

baahh the backline has been my biggest problem this year. becuase it was looking like there were hardly any rookies i went into the season with 5 premiums/midpricers and 3 rookies. As it turns out all the backline rookies have been diamonds so, Ive been getting 80s and 90s on my bench and not being able to loophole anything, and having to take my "premiums" spud scores of 40s,50s and 60s.

Yeah it's annoying like that. Every year I put the wrong rookies on field on the first several rounds. N Brown wasn't smart but I did try get on seconds before the bounce. First round it was Miller over Vandenberg. Bang 130 points gone.

Looks like Armfieldb will sit on Hibberd this week :/ sub 60 coming up!

Thanks, I think with the news that Goodes isn't going to be sub two weeks in a row I've made my decision. I can afford to leave trading out junior until next week, will also give me a better idea of who I want to replace him given I already have Sloane and Fyfe. Strongest fantasy start I've had in years.
