Round 3 trades

He's had a total of 56 possessions (34 contested), 23 clearances and 20 tackles in two games. In his first game this year, against Brisbane, Tom gathered 28 possessions, 57.14% of them contested. He racked up 11 clearances, 9 tackles, and disposed of the ball with a 75% efficiency rating. Against Freo, a team notorious for giving players little space and time, he racked up another 28 disposals, 64.28% contested this time. He laid 11 tackles, gained 12 clearances and had a disposal efficiency of 79% and was almost certainly best on ground.

He has been ridiculously good for a 20 year old.

Looks like it. I hadn't paid much attention until now, but you're convincing.

G'day guys, i'm in a bit of a quandary

i have Hartlett and zorko

and a lack of pittard, moloney and kruezer.

my thinking is, either

Hartlett to pittard
Crouch to moloney (only rookie not rising in price this week)

or

Hartlett to pittard
zorko to kreuzer (swap cox)

or any other suggestions?

Hartlett > Hanley

Sylvia > Westoff

Could go to neade instead of the Hoff and bank in a lot of $$ for next weeks upgrades, but ill get on the hoff gravy train i think.

This means I will miss out on moloney, but with a midfield of Swan, Pendles, Watson, Mundy, Embley, m.jones, JOM, Viney, Kommer, wines there are no obvious tradeouts.

I need to dump two of S.Selwood, Franklin and Grimes to avoid losing too much cash.

Would love some advice on which two I should trade out!

Why is Hartlett being traded? My understanding is he's playing :/
I can understand why you would think that, but with the two trades per week it is certainly a viable option.

If you have no other obvious problems in your team, why not get rid of a historically injury prone player coming of a game where he scored 35 points and hurt his back (could still be sore knowing hamstring harteltt)

Any one got a few trades they could borrow? Wish i could do about 5 trades this week. After a whole heap of thinking and debating with my self i have to do the following trades:

Kane Mitchell -> Sam Dwyer: I had Dwyer in my team on the final day before the first lock but i decided not leave him in because of his job security but wasn't i stupid to not put him. Now i've got to use a much needed trade on him. With the way he's played and Mitchell been so likely to be a sub each week i just had to do this trade in order of bringing in some cash..

Patrick Karnezis -> Josh J Kennedy: What a flop Karnezis, turned out to be. Filled me a long with many other coaches with a lot of false hope. This was another trade that just had to be done, not only will Kennedy bring in a lot of cash he will help give my forward line a much needed lift.

Two trades that had to be done but it sucks that i wasn't able to get rid of someone who will drop quite a bit of cash this week and hasn't had a very flash start to the year, e.g Mitch Robinson, Dane Zorko, Josh P Kennedy and Ivan Maric. Here's hoping all four of them can repay me for the faith i put in them and have a big week this week.

I think I've finally settled on my trades for this week.

1) Karnezis to Dwyer - Karnezis was going to be a mid-priced cash cow but now he has been dropped, he is of no real use. Not worth keeping on the bench in the hope that he comes back down the track. Dwyer is obviously rookie priced but set for a significant price rise in the coming weeks, assuming he keeps his place. Even if he doesn't, the cash this frees up (as well as at least one price rise from Dwyer) has to make this trade worth it.

2) Grimes to Heppell - I'm in the position where all my other rookie picks were winners and there is no real need to make any other changes on that front. Grimes has not performed as well as I would have hoped, whilst Heppell has started the season strongly. Both are headed in the opposite direction and as I've outlined previously, I think this season there is merit to 'sideways' trading premiums from those who are not performing, to those who are - especially if there is money to be made immediately from it.

Can anyone suggest any trades that may be of greater benefit, or why the above trades are not worth going ahead with?

Don't blame Karnezis, he was fine when given the opportunity. Blame his flog of a coach.

Wasn't arguing with people, was just worried I'd missed something.

trading out hartlett basically because i don't want a player of that price, being able to score such bad scores basically. Didn't know he was injured last week though, thought he was just tagged out of the game.

Quick forward line help

The rest of my team is reasonably good (Only real exception being I still have Hartlett in the backline and am missing Moloney but you cant have them all)

But my forward line is a bit of a mess, and I am not sure exactly where I should go with it

Before this week

Buddy, D.Martin, Zorko, Karnezis, Varcoe, Macaffer, T. Lee, some random spud not getting a game

My original plan was to go Zorko => Westhoff and then Karnezis => JJKennedy leaving myself some cash for next week to get Bartel

However, with Lee getting a game am I better off doing something different, including leaving Karnezis on the bench this week and getting rid of him next week since his price wont change if he doesn't play etc...

Any help appreciated thanks $34,400 in the bank

Stick with your original plan :thumbsu:

Even if I don't have Dwyer?

I have most the other rookies but he is probably the key one I am missing
if you are looking purely for money, i think getting dwyer instead of hoff is a better option

just a question for everyone going zorko to hoff.
If zorko gets 100 and 100 in the next two weeks
and
hoff gets 60 and 60 in the next two weeks

would that trade still be worth it?

zorko will probably fall a fair bit of money and hoff gain a fair bit, with that 150 sticking around for the next 2 weeks. but is 80 points worth all the money you will make?
(it's not a rhetorical question, it's something i want to wrap my head around)

cheers

Well you only have 2 trades, Westhoff, Dwyer and JJK are all set for price rises this week.

Make the call whether you think you are best with JJK and Westhoff (who are probably the better scorers) as you planned or whether you want to bank extra cash by taking Dwyer. Hard to say what Dwyers JS will be like with a fully fit Collingwood but if Westhoff goes up this week as expected one bad game will mean his BE will skyrockets after the 154 rolls out of his average.
