What you guys reckon as my 2nd trade
P.Karny ->J.Neade (already have Dwyer)
or
Smuprh (M5) -> Moloney

Disgusted by how boring my trades are this week. But then trying to be too clever made me choose Jacqui in the first place.

Zorko > Westhoff
Watts > Dwyer

Leaves me with a lot to play with next week.

I still don't think these extra trades will lead to everyone having the same team. For now we'll all make the obvious moves to generate cash, but it's when that cash is free that it gets interesting and you can go shopping for your favourite/ideal premium. Personally, I'm digging the 44 trades.

Agree. Those who get the side right early will be able to start shopping around based upon on favourable draws or weaker opponents. the others will be playing catch up.

Most good sides will be similar I expect, it's just when they start to look the same will be the question...

I'm planning on selling high and buying low to get the players I want. For instance, if Marc Murphy has dropped to 450k and only averaging 90-95 after Rd5 I will be bringing him in that week if he has a gettable B/E. Because at the end of the day, I would back him to find form and lift that average to what I know he can produce as the season goes on, much more so than unproven players who jumped out of the blocks. I'm hopeful that I will actually make some money from trading Libba to Murph in 2 weeks time.

Agree. I think there will be some difference in sides as people choose different 'fallen' premiums to pick up at various stages... Depending on how successful you are, you may still be doing this rather than optimising for the draw etc.. Will be an interesting year to see how the various strategies hold up.

Smart investors love a bear market.

Murph -> Libba/Moloney??
Libba has higher ceiling but more risk (what happens when Boyd comes back; will he be bothered by more attention as the rounds go on etc). Moloney is safer and cheaper, but doesn't have the potential to smash out 120-130s like Libba imo. Depends what you think is the best move for your team at the moment.

I've gone -

Karnezis - Sinclair (WC)
Danger - Swanny

What do you think of this? Is it worth keeping Danger and upgrading a different underperforming premo? (Like Franklin/Zorko)

Depends on who is likely to lose the most money... Danger is the highest priced (I think, slightly higher than Franklin), but not sure who is averaging more.

Danger averaging 73, Franklin 81.5. Looks like Danger will lose the most.

I'm not too fussed with bringing in Sinclair to sit on the bench. I'm a rookie heavy in my forwards, however I've copped K's 66 and 9, so a rookie won't do much worse for a week or two. I think the JS of Sinclair isn't too bad, NN looks a long way off. He seems to have overtaken Lycett, so it's his spot unless he stinks it up. He should play at least 3 and give me a cheeky price rise.

Edit - My other option is to sideways K to Kennedy and sideways Danger to anyone bar Swan.

I reckon Danger will kill it with another 140 against Poort this week. Has a B/E of 160, so shouldn't* lose too much money this week, IMHO. Should be back to around his starting price next week when that 51 disappears from his rolling average.

So much more love for Libba rather than Howlett.

Howlett only slightly more expensive. Tackles hard so doesn't necessarily need 30 disposals to reach the ton.
Libba's had 20 tackles in two rounds, Howlett has had 12.

and your avatar has 47,322,631 tackles :thumbsu:
I saw that tackle live; it was Redpath's first tackle at senior level (albeit NAB Cup) and it was on none other than Harry O! Couldn't have picked a better first target.

Quite possibly, but Swan > Danger over the course of the season. Danger can become an upgrade target in the next few weeks if he starts scoring well.
