First (and probably) only time things have lined up for me to come see them in person this season, and it is utterly impossible to tell the two teams apart. No idea how the players are managing it.

This feels like one of those games where it stays tight for 2 or 3 quarters and then opens up late.

Agree. At least one side should have white shorts. Terrible to view colour clash on TV.

Bloody useless AFL, so easy to put Hawks in white shorts.

Combined with the poor camera work not the easiest viewing.

The no white shorts in AFLW was brought in a few seasons ago which it fine when you force teams to have at least a light coloured guernsey vs a dark coloured guernsey and different number colours should also be a standard rule.

Wind is blowing across the ground mostly. Mild advantage that quarter but mostly it just blew the ball towards the west wing. Both teams using the east side to get some protection.

Yep, died down at the start of that quarter, and then blew up again in our favour. The poor female boundary umpire could barely throw it in against the wind!

The women's league would cost money rather than bring in money. They've got to save where they can. White shorts do help avoid a clash though I agree.

How long is half time in the women's game?

EDIT: "In the first 15 minutes of the quarter, the clock will only stop for goals and major injuries. The last two minutes of the quarter, the clock will stop for all stoppages. The breaks for AFLW are also a bit different with quarter time and three-quarter time spanning 6 minutes, while half time is 14 minutes long."

It's because of periods, I believe. Gives the women a measure of privacy/dignity.

It's not really that difficult to work out
At certain times of the month, women and white clothing don't quite work so well
