It is going to be some effort if we kick 10 goals on Sunday against the pies

The reality is many of the goal kickers in the win late last year are not going to be on the field. Over to you Ginni and Chol

Who thats injured would you put in this side that was really performing before they got injured.

Lewis no
Breust no
Watson yes

If they were performing yes, but they weren’t and the kids may come in and perform better than they were.

You never know we may play better this weekend better then we have all year so far they may surprise us with there performances.
Lewis, Breust, CJ, Day, Watson all play if fit.

Reckon Mitchell comes in to allow Hardwick to go forward, not to allow Amon to go to the wing.

Butler or Hustwaite the sub?
Need Butler forward without Bruest and Watson. Hardwick is a marking player.

I would keep Hardwick down back and make Impey the sub.

Butler as sub I’m assuming ?

With 3 forwards out, you'd think Butts must start forward. If Ramsden quiet, we may need to throw Scrim forward. Finn takes Naicos which leaves Huss as sub. I'd much prefer a quicker sub but we haven't had one so far this season.

Did all 3 emergencies make the trip?

Thought I would share a message I told my teenage son who was too young to enjoy the threepeat, but he still rocks up to every home game. Getting a bit disheartened.

We will have some pain, 05/06 we were dog shit, but I got to watch the kids Rough, Franklin, Hodge, Mitchell
Our captain was Vandenberg, everyone laughed at us.
07 was finals and 08?
You know what happened in 08.
Then at some point you sit there and go, “I remember when he played his first game, I got a photo with him at the Gold Coast, now he’s a premiership player”
We are Hawthorn we win flags, drop down for a bit, regroup and win more. It’s what we do. It’s in our culture.
Collingwood, Essendon and the rest bang on about flags they won in 1908. Who gives a shit? We have won more flags in the last 50 years than anybody by far.
I’m 46 and we have won ten since I’ve been on the planet👌😎

My daughter assured him the brown represents the dirt we kick in the opposition's faces while the gold represents the premiership cups.

Let’s be patient with this group, win or lose we ride the bumps with a grin.

Go Hawkers!!!

Believe the only one who travelled over was Jai Serong.
Ned Reeves definitely didn't make the trip and will be training with the Box Hill boys on Sunday before watching the game at the club.

When you add Blanck and Wingard that is a lot of outs of your best line up. We should be happy with a competitive performance against the reigning premier who don't have many missing. In reality we should be bracing for pain the next two weeks, and see it as great development opportunities for Ramadan, Butler etc. Our fixture and injury list has made it a horror start to the year. We should be a lot more competitive in the second half of the season.

I’d like to see Butts in midfield

Yeesh that side on paper I’m sorry to say looks horrible.

Our pre season injury's, bad luck or whatever the heck happened is really biting us now for any depth.

Why on earth did we bring Gunston back if he can’t get a game in that forward line?

Sam Mitchell if you can get us close this week, this will go down as one of the all timers.

Let’s hope Meek practiced jumping over a jam tin this week.
Can you still get jam tins?

I think Meek should be congratulated if he can find one to jump over.

Shows resourcefulness.

Ramadan ends this week mate. Don't think anyone needs to go through any more of that type of pain after Eid ;)

For some reason on bigfooty we all get really excited by seeing new faces and young teams, but then get super upset when we "don't put in effort" (i.e. we get creamed because our structures don't hold up and people butcher the ball due to lack of experience under pressure).

I'm going to try my best to enjoy seeing the young guys play and not break my tv when the inevitable frustration comes!

Ok I’ll give you CJ,Blanck,Day and Wingard also but the other two are badly out of form to start the season.
The other two are injured, and when not, they’re playing.

To suggest otherwise is quite ridiculous.

They don't have to be quick, just fresh. Jordan Lewis said that when he played sub and came on it was amazing running past players cause they were tired.
