I think we may be in for a smashing but hopefully we are competitive.

Unfortunately, that is my expectation for all games in Victoria, anything but, is a bonus IMO. We've consistently put up too many insipid performances down here to think otherwise.

With eight players with less than 30 games, not to mention if one or both of the emergencies come in, we could have upwards of 9 or 10 with less than 30 games under their belt. I fear a massive blow out today, which I suppose won't be unusual for how we generally perform down here. God, I hope that shock me today.

Always love game day. Trying to focus on being excited to see Doc and Paps debut, as well as seeing how Mayes goes in his 2nd game. Trying not to think about a possible blow out if we aren't switched on today.

A win today could really kick start out season, and give the boys back the confidence we had during the NAB cup. North have been very good, but have been blown away in 1 quarter, if we can get a roll on, they might start getting a bit jumpy.

Whoever thought of Sunday twilight games should be shot.
Last game of the weekend, the wait has been horrible, but it's oh so close to the first bounce.

Weirdly optimistic about this one, we're the underdogs and with the player sponsor function afterwards, I really hope we put in a good, honest performance that I won't mind watching again, even if we lose. Good luck to Docherty and Paparone in their debut games, I'll be watching them along with Mayes very closely.

Oh, and carn the Liiiiionnnsss!!!

Surely we can start going OTT about Papa being the sub. His main/only strength is his endurance but he starts off as the sub?!?!?!

On one hand I am disappointed about Paparone being sub because his main strength as has already been talked about is his endurance and it seems a waste to play as a sub. It does however mean when he comes on some time in the second half we will have a fully fresh Paparone running around and I do not expect him to stop running for his whole time out on the ground and that is surely a scary thought for the opposition.
