Cheers, Captain Hindsight - still think Gawn was and will turn out to have been over-priced. And I'm gonna pay less for Grundy than you did - by a bit lol

Lol price means nothing to keepers at this stage man, sure you pay less now, but how many points am i and every grundy owner up on your 2nd ruck? hahaha

How long is Day out for ?

I don't think Baby John scored much in the ruck in the last Q.
Unsure of quarter breakdowns tho.
Day 6-8.
Burgess first run in 18 months and will be better for it. Plenty of 2nd efforts that just fell short too In the last due to fatigue.

After round 1, you were up -6 points. Not counting the way I spent the difference.

Then it changed.

You won, Captain Hindsight. It happens. I will come calling when Phillips tons, which he will do

gonna have to probs fix my back line....

Clark/Kosi/Cox/Sharp/Highmore

Not liking the look of that right now.....

Just hope for no forced trades due to injury like Caldwell last week.

You need to work on that booty.

Well it could all end up fine if Clark plays, Kosi named, Cox plays semi decent.....Highmore only rested back next week......just leaves Sharp as my only issue.

But that's me hoping.....knowing my luck, all 5 will probs be dropped or score abysmally

there is really no downgrade or sideways rookie options on the bubble really unless going for a debutant.

Only Chappy .

I didn't see him play.

42 on debut from 22 touches .

Burgess might be worth a punt?

Only viable if Clark drops out, i think he will play, geelong had worse players than him worthy of a drop IMO. I wanna offload Clark to a premo soon but can't do much yet.

Just might need to fix up the basement rookies in Kosi/Cox/Sharp/Highmore....but is there even a problem yet? too early too tell...need to see kosi and cox play then see team sheets next week.

**** it. 1/3 bottle of scotch down since only two hours ago.

Hunter to Grundy.
Phillips to Oliver.

Phillips will have to bring his A game for me to keep him. Happy to but need to keep those points coming in and a double upgrade in round 4 is sexy AF.

no trades! let the cash cows graze happily and hold onto as many trades as possible
cox and clark to tex and a rookie.

$87,600 in the bank. ill have 505k after trading out those two spuds how it stands. then price changes come into it. tex is 400k so ill be doing it really tight.

I'm in a bit of a conundrum.

Planning on giving Cripps one more week, but if he struggles, will be tempted to trade to Brayshaw if they both remain within $100k of each other (Cripps -$50k, Brayshaw +$30k approx).

What's the likelihood of this happening?

Other option would be to get Brayshaw this week and skip Butters altogether (was going to trade him in this week).
Quick way to estimate:

Take the score you think Brayshaw will get.
Subtract his BE score from that.
Multiply the number of points by $425
Example:
Brayshaw:
Price: 544.2k
BE: 62
You reckon he goes: 115
Difference: 53 pts x 425/pt = 22.5k
So say he lands at 567k

Cripps:
Price: 523.7k
BE: 137
You reckon he goes: 80
Difference: -57 pts x 425/pt = -24.2k
So say he lands at 499k

And you can fo the other way and see what they need for your case:

For Brayshaw to go +30k, he’ll need to beat the BE by about 70 pts

For Cripps to go -50k, he’ll need to score about 20 pts, so -118pts vs the BE, give or take.

Anything’s possible, but reckon you’ll be OK, that’s a pretty extreme scenario.

Not worth getting Tex in now imo, you've missed the boat. Only way you'd still bring him in is if you think he's a keeper and he's not.

Disingenuous argument. By focusing only on rucks you're ignoring that a Flynn+Meek owner had extra dollars to spend elsewhere and is quite likely putting up higher points across another line. I wish I could find an example for y... oh wait.

That's a crazy shallow backline. Seen quite a few teams fielding Clark at D6, some of them funded by rookie rucks, while you're one omission away from a round three donut.
