OK, teams are out for Sunday...I need a defender now Kozi is is out. was going to Chapman via Dow via DPP but now thinking of a straight swap for Kozi.....Logic is don't trade a warm body (especially one the coach loves, proven by still being in the side after the last putrid effort) when another guy has been "managed" by Clarko.
I get the hate on Dow, but now thinking to give him one more chance...

If Dow does the usual rubbish, easy trade out next week to Waterman (via DPP)
That was my dilemma too. Dow a good chance to lose money this week. Kosi could be back next week and kick a couple of goals and start making money. Not sure there is a right or wrong answer here, I just decided to take the money.

I thought the collective wisdom was that Chapman would stay in and score well with Young (or whoever it was) out? Like all of my supercoach decisions I'm just going with some random posts I've read and I'm easily swayed either way.

I'm not actually copping a donut because I have Butts anyway, I was just going off the vibe it was a team improving trade. I could sit it out if there are greener pastures coming (like my boy the manchild Jones).
It's as good a system as any other. SC is largely luck anyway.

I’m in desperate need of advice
For the first time ever in 15 years I’m stumped on what to do...

I have Kosi in the backline who needs to be replaced otherwise I have a donut this round.... I have 329K to replace him, which means I’m 3k short of Jiath who I’ve been eyeing off the last two weeks :(

The only other players I can see who *may* be worth it at Zach Guthrie, Jordan Butts, Aidan Bonar, Jake Kelly or Jack Henry although obviously none of them stand out as too relevant in SuperCoach terms as cash cows / good enough for D6 keepers.

do I bring in someone who’s going to be less than an ideal selection, or just cop the donut on the chin, hold the cash and upgrade/sideways Kosi to someone worthwhile when there’s a decent option?

FWIW going for overall + I already have Chapman who I traded H Young out for, so yeah my backline is a mess.

right now I’m thinking Bonar > Donut > Guthrie as the top options

Take the donut.

Difference between Kosi playing and a donut is only 30 odd points, not worth a trade to some average players (who you would then have to trade out again anyway).

You don't want any of those names in your team. You'll just compound the frustration.

Eat the donut, then bring in LJones or Waterman via DPP if you can IMO.

Good luck mate! CJ could be a steal, Chapman a no-brainer. Are you happy with your DEF line now?
Cheers bud! He’s an exciting prospect. Hoping he can continue the good form.

As for the defense, I was until lil Helmet shriveled up like a little flake today. One of the worst 4qtr efforts I can remember from a ‘premo’.

Ridley Laird Stewart Daniel Short CJ
(Chapman Highmore)

Little Dark Helmet will bounce back. Loves the indoors at Marvel.
DEF looking really good now with CJ at D6 for sure. I would have loved him in there too, but had enough for Ridley so couldn't pass him up.

Yep probably the correct call, especially with a couple good rookies being on the bubs next week

I think maybe H young > Jiath would have been better than bringing in Chapman but oh well.
Trades completed.

Young>CJ
Kosi>Chapman
Lol this campaigner

I was out and forgot to do Dow to Chapman. This leaves me with:

1. My first non-bye donut in at least a couple of years.
2. Paddy Dow
3. No Heath Chapman

I don't know which one is worse.

I was placed at ~25K coming into this round. I imagine I'm going to lose some places this round, barring some double-tons from my Sunday PODs. I'm starting to think I might struggle to win the $50K this year.

I am that sad I didn’t make the Young > Jiath trade and took Chapman instead.
Chapman looks to make money but Jiath is playing like a keeper.
