Quick way to estimate:

Take the score you think Brayshaw will get.
Subtract his BE score from that.
Multiply the number of points by $425
Example:
Brayshaw:
Price: 544.2k
BE: 62
You reckon he goes: 115
Difference: 53 pts x 425/pt = 22.5k
So say he lands at 567k

Cripps:
Price: 523.7k
BE: 137
You reckon he goes: 80
Difference: -57 pts x 425/pt = -24.2k
So say he lands at 499k

And you can fo the other way and see what they need for your case:

For Brayshaw to go +30k, he’ll need to beat the BE by about 70 pts

For Cripps to go -50k, he’ll need to score about 20 pts, so -118pts vs the BE, give or take.

Anything’s possible, but reckon you’ll be OK, that’s a pretty extreme scenario.

Great info gutsroy. There have been a number of instances where SC projections are likely to be wildly inaccurate, nice to know how to re-calculate different outcomes. e.g. there was no wat Errol was ever going to follow up his 140 with anything even close to ... ah crap.

Brb rethinking my life choices.

Lol price means nothing to keepers at this stage man, sure you pay less now, but how many points am i and every grundy owner up on your 2nd ruck? hahaha
Simplistically comparing Grundy's score to a replacement R2 rookie's score gives a totally false outcome to the tactic. You have to look at what was done with the cash saved.

In my case I originally had Grundy at R2 and HJones as a forward rookie. Before round 1 I decided to take the punt on Flynn as my F2 and he replaced Grundy in my starter team. I used most of the saved cash to replace Jones with Dusty, but that still left me with over $100k which I used to upgrade lesser rookies to Campbell and Warner.

Even ignoring the fact that Campbell and Warner have turned out to be two of the best rookies, the change left me with Dusty and Flynn instead of Grundy and Jones. At the end of round 2 Grundy and Jones had totaled just 258 points while Dusty and Flynn had totaled 496 points. Even if you add Grundy's excellent R3 score of 162 it still only brings the Grundy/Jones total to 420. Still 76 points behind the Dusty/Flynn total with both those players (and Jones) still to play.

So, how many points are you and every Grundy owner really ahead of my 2nd ruck tactic? You're not. You're hundreds of points behind.

Not really. I have Gawn so I want big scores from him.
What I need if for Dusty to keep scoring as well as Grundy and for Flynn to keep scoring way better than the low scoring rookie options, which he should do as his club's R1 for the next 10 weeks. Not expecting much from him this week though.

Dusty needs to slow down a bit 😂

Had Ridley most of the preseason but he just missed the cut. Now desperately trying to find the roughly $125k extra I'll need to turn LDU into him this week.
Campbell to a cheap rookie maybe, if Campbell's value rises enough (40k+ rise probably needed).

Hunter Clark to a footballer
