I'm averaging around 1900 so far. A few players are pushing their luck tho. I gambled on some players thinking they'll have breakout year. Roughead and Hille i've been correct on so far, but embley and hurn are troubling me. Thinking I should have gone for someone more consistent than Embley. Because he's so expensive i don't really want to trade him tho. I'll suss it out over the next few days, any thoughts?

I had Roughead in my backline at one stage but stupidly listened to the people that said he was a bad choice.

Oh well, live and learn.

What do people think of Houli - Tuck? Im thinking sideways.

I was thinking of doing the same trade. But I've decided against it as it is a bit too sideways. I also have Cale Morton on the bench who should be scoring the same as Tuck through the season anyway. I'll just wait until I get enough cash together and upgrade Houli to a proper gun.

He had some pretty decent scores against NM last year too IIRC

B/E of 73, should make that easily. I'll keep him for a while yet, he's outsocring some of my guns

Exactly, he has played against 3 very tough teams so far, plenty of fools have already got rid of him.
Same with the likes of Symes, wait until he gets to rd 5 6 8

Definitely, even though it's a bit late but Hill will keep rising in price for a few weeks yet. The real question is, why did you have Neitz in your team to start with?

BACKLINE

Johncock and Ellis are fine back there, at least for now. Their BEs will be very achievable. (Johncock 40, Ellis -11)

Symes and Nicoski are worries, but Symes hasn't done anything particularly wrong and has a decent R2 score which will roll into next week. His BE is 46. Nicoski is inconsistent and I'd like to get rid of him. But I don't see any particularly good prospects. I think I'll give him one more chance. His BE is 73, so I shouldn't be losing too much either way.

Could upgrade Johnstone to an elite mid but I think I'll wait for his price to rise (it should) and for the elites' prices to fall a bit-I'm talking about the Geelong mids and K Cornes here. Could get Stanton but that would be sideways. Dyson has had a shocker but he has a strong rolling R2 score so that will save him for at least one more week. His BE is only -3. Coughlan I am sticking with because he and Tuck are now the same price, almost, and it's a matter of who will be the better cash cow overall. I think Cogs will be. I might be tempted to trade in Tuck though >_< Depends on Coughlan's progress.

Adcock is a gun and with Black, Lappin and Power in the side he shouldn't be tagged. Salopek isn't scoring as he promised in the NAB cup but keep in mind he's played Geelong, Sydney and Adelaide. He'll get better. I'd probably take the trade as Salopek is a real smokey and injury prone where as Adcock is fairly proven.



My question. Is it to late to get Hill in? I forgot to trade on Friday night.

My options are:

• Houli to Palmer which will free up cash to trade Tippet for Hill. Houli looked crap this week, he couldn't keep up with the pace of the game and we all know how fast the Dogs play their footy. Tippet, never rated him but I believed the hype and got him.
• As I've got no playing defence emergencies I'm thinking of keeping Houli, trading the injured Dempsey for Palmer and getting Harry Taylor/Pfeiffer (which one)

Now the way I see it, Hill is still going to go up another 100k, Houli maybe another 30k at most. My defence can cope with no emergencies for now and if Selwood and Aussie (the Melbourne rookie) keep playing I can trade them in the next week. Of cause this means I'll miss out on Taylor/Pfeiffer and still have Dempsey sitting on my bench doing nothing for another two weeks. I left Palmer out of this thesis as he's in both trades.

I havn't made any trades yet so I don't mind splurging for the next couple of weeks.

I am just concerned because my back emergencies didn't play last week so i dont know if they will this week (Jake Edwards, Scott D Thompson). And if Proud gets dropped, i wont have a backup and will be playing a man down.
