Round 4 trades...

Done my two trades...

Deledio to Bradshaw (Did not want to get rid of Deledio but he was the only one I could get rid of for a decent player.)

Wood to Simmonds (Wood sucks)

With around 69k left in the bank. Content with my team now...Hoping Cox has some shockers and drops to around 401k so I can snag him with McIntosh :thumbsu:

My team as it stands at the moment:

B: C.Cornes~H.Shaw~J.King~D.Mundy~B.Jones~B.Symes~M.Mattner
C: G.Ablett~M.Priddis~B.Stanton~N.Stevens~R.Dyson~R.Palmer
R: H.McIntosh~T.Simmonds
F: M.Pavlich~J.Brown~T.Cloke~B.Burton~J.Porplyzia~D.Bradshaw~J.Hill
INT: J.Edwards~S.Thompson~C.Bird~C.Masten~M.Kruezer~J.Meesen~C.Rioli~K.Tippet

With 61k in the bank remaining...Hopefully Cox drops to 400k so I can go McIntosh to Cox :thumbsu:

LOL at those trades.

Need some advice. In good position after round 3, no real injury threats (porps, gamble with players to fill in on emergency) used 2 trades last week so 18 left and have 100 k in the bank. Should i leave the 100 k in the bank or make the most of it. I hate having money in the bank and not spendin it. its not like its makin interest. Could upgrade a semi dud (symes, mattner) (embley) (anyone else) for a gun. any thoughts?

I am in the same boat as you. My only real injury concern is Porps and possibly Cox.

For trades i am going to get rid of Houli to either Palmer or Griffin. If i get Griffin that will use most of my $82,300 grand in the bank and leave me with 20-30 odd grand for future trades. Or if i get Palmer that $82,300 will become $190,400. And i dont like to keep all that money sitting there doing nothing so i will probably find an upgrade and make the most of the banked money.

Atm i am thinking Houli to Palmer, Proud to Kennely. Or Houli to Palmer, Salopek to Corey???

Still thinking and will wait until the teams are named and to see the extent of Porps and Cox's injury.

O.k

I need a geelong midfielder in my team, i'm going for ablett since bartell is very expensive.

So i'm going to drop a forward for either josh hill or medhurst, both playing well and niether are very expensive.

Then i will drop a midfielder either black, judd, hodge or murphy to hopefully snag gablett.

What path should i take in the two choices?

Any thoughts on whether I should substitute Sandilands and play Laycock in the ruck? Laycock slightly scored better than Sandilands this round...

If Porplyzia and Cox both aren't seriously hurt i'm thinking of a trade that will basically strengthen my bench:

Out: Masten
In: Bartram

Out: Scott D. Thompson/ Scott Selwood
In: Harry Taylor/ Lachie Hansen/ Pfeiffer

Not sure who to go with in that second trade, depends on the teams i guess.

Why the ____ would you make this trades? Walk me through your reasoning please?

Why do you want to jump off your cash cows so quickly?

Its only been three weeks..

Injuries?

Or just an itchy trigger finger?

Well i want to get rid of Houli because he isn't performing and doesn't look like reproducing his nab cub form. Also his BE are increasing each week (8 last week and now 34 this week). So he doesn't have much financial benifit.

Palmer is performing extremely well and is set to go up by a huge amount this week. Plus with Houli to Palmer i get a nice 100 grand and couple that with my extra cash from last weeks trade (N.Thompson to J.Hill). My bank would be a nice $190,400 grand. Which i can use to upgrade a medicore player to a premium.

But i am not sure what to do for the second trade. Either get rid of Proud who is my 7th defender for Kennelly or upgrade Salopek to Corey. Both have their advantages and disadvantages so i guess i will need to think about it.

I will wait until teams come up however to see what happens with Cox and Porplyzia.

That would be very wise kemo sabe.

WRT Houli.. don't forget that one of those games was against Geelong and we don't play them again until the finals :)D). I do see where you're coming from though and the cash would be handy but I really think a lot of people are just jumping too early. I think Houli will improve.

Houli to Palmer of J-Mac to Palmer?

The way I see it is that Houli needs to get 20+ possies to have a decent score because if he plays on the HBF then due to Essendon running the ball out of their backline he will not get the opportunity to take many marks. Therefore he can still get 15 kicks but because he doesnt have many marks his numbers will be lower.

J-Mac must be close to selection and i think he is more capable of scoring some bigger numbers even thought he may have to fight harder for his possessions and collect less of the ball, his tackling and marks will make up for any lack of touches in comparison to Houli.

At this stage very much leaning towards offloading Houli for 100K and then Palmer who should rise almost 200K, but would like to hear some other opinions

im thinking about doing the following

Trading Bryce gibbs to free up some cash

then trading nick stevens for either Joel corey or Jimmy Bartel

thatwould leave me with following side

BACKS
Chad Cornes, Heath Shaw, Graham Johncock, Joel Bowden, Xavier ellis, Brad Symes, Albert Proud RESERVES: Scott D Thompson, Nathan J Brown

CENTRES
Jimmy Bartel or Joel Corey, Kane Cornes, Daniel Cross, Dane Swan, Rhys Palmer, Cale Morton RESERVES Tim Callan, Clint Bartram

RUCKS
Dean Cox, Troy Simmonds RESERVES Fabian Deluca, John Meesan

FORWARDS
Nick Riewoldt,Jonathon Brown, Alan Didak, Rob Murphy, Jason Akermanis, Cyril Rioli, Josh Hill RESERVES Lachlan Hansen, Ryan Gamble

whats everyones thoughts should i do the suggested trades?

Yeh i am going to get rid of Houli and either downgrade him to Palmer and increase my current bank stash to $190,400 grand or upgrade Houli to Griffin.

Still deciding....I guess i will make my final decision when the teams are announced. As everyone should do :thumbsu:.
