Getting a little bit tired of this narrative that we are a defensive only team - well yes we have had a great defence so far - terrific - and we have the highest % of 160% - so we can score right?!

We are doing what we need to in the current circumstances to win - any problem with that?

And one of the key reasons we have had to be so defensive focussed is we have our 2 best key forwards out and 3 kids (Owens, Pou & Hammer) in the forward line with a combined 19 games experience.

The defensive focus will remain (excellent) but just wait until we get King & Membrey back fit & firing which will also provide more options how we use the talents of Owens, Pou (more midfield) & take pressure off all 3 of them. Then let’s see how our forward potency looks!

Dont forget in 2009 under RTB we were the 4th highest scoring team and the least scored against with easily the highest %. We strangled teams & scored heavily!

That’s what I think the 2023 model will look like once we get these 2 key players fit & firing.

Definitely. Their 22 as a whole is not overly intimidating. They share the load similarly to us. But JDG along with N Daicos are their two that standout as game breakers. No ruck and no JDG puts us firmly in the game if we weren’t already.
Need a tip mate spent way too much last night xxx

No expectations from me.

4-0 to me is a miracle. I am all in on the RTB cult, trust the process, and the result is feedback.
We play to our way and lose, so be it. We know we aren't the best team in the league, some team will pick us apart.

Have said you get to 4-0 and halve the season from there you play finals.

Let's see.

**** it. If Essendon can beat Melbourne we can beat the Pies. Just have to keep doing what we are doing.

If the Bombers can do it to the Dees, we can bloody well beat the Pies.
This. Bring the heat and the hunger to run that we’ve brought so far this year and we’re in this up to our eyeballs. No reason at all we can’t win this. Our system is top-notch and very hard to crack.

Don't concern yourself over it, it's a media talking point for lazy journos who think 2009 Ross is 2023 Ross. The extent of their journalism is watching Kayo Mini's of our games and forming their opinions. Hacks.

Win or lose, I just want to see the same effort, conviction & structure as the first 4 rounds. If we bring that, this game is highly winnable, even with our injuries.

Beating Collingwood to go 5-0, would make this an exceedingly special start to our 150th year.
