But people here calling for his dropping after last night don't know football.

if he plays, I can see Darcy taking most of the centre and defensive ball ups with Jackson in the forward half. So I wouldn’t play a second ruck this week. Soldo and Dixon/Finlayson can achieve the same thing.

I don't get the rush to put a line through older players who aren't what they used to be but are still good and reliable players. If they were keeping extremely talented young players out then fair enough but if the next players in line are Mead and Burgoyne then there's not much reason to be thinking they shouldn't still be in the team.

Yeah but you’re not including the score involvements for Essendon.

Look at the TOG for MG, Funny, Marshall and Soldo and you will realise that thr cast majority of the game you only have 2 of those 3 in the forward line.
