Round 5 discussion thread

Bit early you say? Well I think not. With two Thursday games and a partial lock out coming up, I decided to make the thread early so we can all discuss our loop hole plans and anything to do with round 5.

Personally, I don't think I have the option of using the loophole as I don't believe I will have anyone not playing. The one at biggest risk is Macaffer and he is playing Thursday anyway so no good.

I can see a lot of Swan VC, Ablett C this week.

New recruit Franklin is the obvious choice for C given his last game vs North....another 13 goals would be nice Buddy!

Put the vice-captain on a player that's playing on Thursday. If that player gets a big enough score that you're happy to take it as a captain's score, you use the partial lock-out to transfer the captaincy to a non-playing player, so that you keep the VC x 2.

Posted something in the trade thread but didn't get much of a response. Can someone help me out please.

A few players I'm not sure what to do with:
J. Kennedy (WCE - FWD)
S. Dwyer (played alright this week, still not confident)
Duffield -> Hartlett?
Terlich (could swap for around a $350k)
Viney -> Evans?

However should I just leave them all in and try get some bench rookies as I only have two who are getting games.

I have $309k in the bank.

Currently I'm thinking:
Viney - > Evans
Kennedy -> Franklin (c)

in hope that Dwyer can get a decent score and get some more $..

Also have Swallow who I'm thinking of keeping, but just curious if J. Selwood would be worth the risk as they're playing the dogs?

DOnt get rid of JJK, still has a low breakeven, a few easy games coming up
Is averaging 95 and in a game where he didn't kick a goal he still scored 73, i see lots of upside with him

Thanks for all the replies! Just realised Hanley has got the option to accept a 1 match ban which leave me in the lurch after making two trades.

Reversed the trades of two benched players for Crouch and Evans.

Now swapped a back line benched player for Pittard who I swapped Hanley with. As well as a benched midfielder for Evans and put him on the field and Viney off. Best I could do under the circumstances I guess. Huge loss of cash, but should help me in the future.

Put VC on a player playing on Thursday (after the Partial Lockout but before the proper Lockout), if you like their score enough, put C on a player who will not play, and have a player who would usually be on the field as your emergency. If you don't like the VC's score enough, then put it on another player who will play after the full Lockout.
