Round 5 Trades

I am finding it difficult to make any trades this week that will benefit my team without culling a cash cow in early, is any body else is the same boat?

I am thinking about trading either Zorko or Moloney to Mayes depending on their performances.

Has anybody else got any real obvious trades that they must make this round?

All I know is that I want Stevens out and Birchall in somehow. Might go something like:
Heath -> Birchall
Stevens -> Mayes
Not certain yet though.

which frees up cash for Stevenson -> Birchall

but depends on how Mayes goes, and if I have any other issues.

Not sure whether to go Caff/Kommer > Mayes or maybe Zorko/Libba > Mayes

Also not sure if i then want to pick up wright or do an upgrade, i'll wait and see.

Though none of these seem urgent based on current predicted B/Es... so I can really only see the 1 trade... and it's not even neaded. (yeah, I just did that).

Then thinking upgrade Neade or Caffer > Cloke. Back him in for Anzac Day!
Neade/Caffer both scoring kinda similar, but job security might be the sealer.

You shouldn't be finding it difficult to trade if you still have Zorko. As long as you can score better than your previous week it's a no brainer to jump on the rookies and mid pricer's that go up in value each week. Mayes would be a certainty to bring in regardless of what he scores. Probably in hindsight you could have brought Rowe or Westhoff in before this round.

Not sure on my trades yet, I don't really have any big issues to fix just yet.

At this stage Martin is the only player in my forward line apart from Rockliff that isn't about to jump in price so I will be looking at either bringing in SJ or Mayes for him. Mayes would mean I would be playing one of him, Dwyer or Macaffer on my field which isn't so bad as most people have that setup.

How Whitfield goes today will probably determine my other trade. If he is sub and his BE next week isn't juicy enough then I will either trade him to Mayes or straight to Ablett (if I go through with the above Martin -> Mayes trade).

So options depending on BE's/ Selection:

Martin -> Mayes (it would mean that another one of my forwards will become a step up to SJ instead of Martin)
Whitfield -> Ablett

Martin -> SJ
Whitfield -> Mayes

Macaffer -> Mayes
Martin -> SJ

Danger -> Ablett
Martin -> SJ

Blicavs > Mayes (via Rowe)
Kennedy (WC) > Stevie J

If Goodes has a stinker I might ditch him for Birchall/Heppell. I'd prefer Selwood over SJ but I'm not sure about ditching any midfield cows yet.

I've been banking on getting Franklin for cheap for a while now, but the man keeps putting in decent games and Dusty (my cash cow) just had a shocker.

My real issue are my bench defenders. Colquhoun and Vlastuin, who haven't played at all. I think I've missed out on the Terlich train, but will swallow my pride and remove one of my bench players for him.

So Terlich for either Colquhoun or Vlastuin.
Last minute trade pending any injuries. Dusty for Franklin

I feel like poking my eyes out when I see his face.

I don't have Franklin, or Cloke, but did get Hoff in for this round. I'm not sure what to do. I have $162K in the kitty, but want to get Birchall into my back 6. Do I just keep Robinson, or is it crazy to downgrade him to Mayes and use the money in my mids, or backs ? Dunno.

Wright was very disappointing yesterday. 18 DT points from a full game is unacceptable, even from a second gamer. Don't know if I want him now. Only has a -27 B/E for next week. Will still make some money but... might just do an upgrade instead. Def rookie > Birchall or Scotland instead.
