In: Armitage,C.Jones,Gardiner,Ferguson,Hudgton???

Out: Hayes (inj),Thompson (inj), McQualter,Gilbert,Attard

-Gilbert impressed against port, he is a tall defender which we obviously need atm, so he shouldn't be dropped. Will possibly take someone like j kennedy this week with very similar height and weight.

-If armitage plays well for casey, consider bringing him into the side for round 6, replacing hayes.

-Gardiner has already pulled out of the casey game, so i doubt we would play him without match fitness even if he overcame his foot soreness.

-The other midfielders to consider to replace thompson are c jones or birss.
Again, depends how they play for casey.

-I would consider bringing brooks in to play forward as koschitzke's will most likely take fev.

-McQualter - Don't think he played the greatest game against port, but few of our players did. Should have his midfield role increased with hayes and thompson out, might be a good opportunity for him..

B L Fisher Koschitzke Voss
HB Goddard Gilbert Gram
C Fiora Dal Santo Harvey
HF X Clarke Riewoldt Montagna
F Brooks Gehrig Milne
Foll M Clarke Ball Baker
Int McQualter Blake Attard Armitage
Eme Birss Rix Gwilt

In Armitage, Brooks
Out Hayes, Thompson

-Brooks to do the spare ruck work
-Blake can go back if there's a significant height mismatch or forward when brooks is rucking and m clarke is resting.

Personally I'd drop Gehrig as well but I don't think it will happen

good ins and outs guess, i think you will be very close, i hope anyway.

as for gehrig surely you dont expect him to kick a bag in the wet and with poor delivery, give him a break

Actually fraser did a fair bit fri night unfortunately he was absolutely 2 and 3 tagged all the time
wet conditions didnt suit him at all....we did out score port in 2nd quarter and 4th quarter unfortunately they KILLED us in the 3rd quarter. dont be too down on the guys believe me they really tried their guts out...losing lenny riewoldt and andy thompson didnt help. we will bounce back... i stood alongside rix after the game HOW BI G is he wow wat a mountain. As i have said in other posts our young guys in gilbert was bullied by tredrea and stood up to him well... and when kosi went on him tredrea shut up like the sook he is ....i call tredrea warren Lloyd cos hes a whinging whining donkey like lloyd is

It's hard to believe that you actually know anything about Aussie Rules!

Let me ask a question, if Tredrea was available on the trade market, would he be snapped up?

Koschitzke improved as the night went on but 2001 was a long time ago, which was the last time he played CHB for an extended period of time. Unfortunately we have few other options, so he should be back there next week. But not on Fevola. Maybe Ferguson needs to come in this week for that role specifically, or Blake or Gilbert takes him. With Gilbert, it may be throwing him to the wolves.

McQualter was good against the Doggies, but has been quiet on other occasions.

Dying to see Armitage and would be excited if he played this week.

Milne is currently our leading goalkicker. We simply cannot drop Gehrig before a Carlton game where he is likely to dominate O'Hailpin and Riewoldt needs to get further up the ground.

Brooks a much better bet than Rix, and is the only one of the three (M Clarke, Rix & Brooks) who can play forward.

It will be interesting to see what happens this week at the selection table, but let's not get hysterical about it all. In the end we don't have the cattle (Hayes, Hamill, Maguire, S Fisher, Hudghton, Thompson, Gardiner, Watts, R Clarke).

ferguson has a hamstring injury from the scorpian game and won't be playing for 3 weeks.

Of course he would. Tredrea is one of the premier power forwards when fit and in form, no question. He was very good (especially early) on Friday night, and it was very noticable to me that his subtle use of body positioning was too good for our guys to handle, althogh I though Kosi did OK when he went back.

Sure he whinges a bit, but so do all forwards, ours included.

I'm sure you guys are very glad to see him back.

IN/s: HUDGTON, RIX & ARMITAGE

OUT: HAYES, THOMPSON, McQUALTER.

Move GRAM to midfield. KOSI to play CHB on WAITE or KENNEDY.
If Max plays we look to have Cartlon matched up relatively well.

Gardiner won't be in the seniors for a few weeks yet, pulled out of the Casey side at the last minute 3 weeks in a row. Ferg again very stiff, would have been handy. Can not see Koschitzke playing on Fev, doesn't have the mobility nor the speed. It will be a case of being thrown to the wolves for whoever takes him, so someone like Gilbert may as well learn something from it. Apart from that, the rucks (and Voss in the backline?) will have to spend a bit of time in the hole. Would like to see Jones and Armitage in for Hayes and Thompson but Birss is probably first in line, Rix and Brooks will both be considered.

Brooks' hamstring is a week away still, Ferguson re-injured his hamstring. (Anyone see a pattern here?)

Bring Sweeney in and play Voss in the backline. Also bring Armitage and Jones in for Hayes and Thompson.
