I'm half with you and half not re the players.... I mean the Hawks managed to win when Clarkson was crook and it couldn't have been from the smiley happy bloke.... he couldn't inspire me to do anything but laugh....

However, the players need to be able to perform.... for fear, for love, for respect, whatever I don't care.... They aren't, so that is ultimately on DH. However I don't think another coach will do any wonders with this list.... We need to cut the deadwood all at once at the end of the season. I'll start:

Petterd
Gordon
Newman
Knights
Foley
Arnot
Lloyd
Hampson (still contracted)

On top of that I would trade or keep if no good trade comes: TV/Dusty/Conca

Dusty can play but we might get better value for losing him....

And Grigg...and Morris...and Astbury...

But Clarkson and co did spend the development years installing a culture that meant the smiley faced midget could come in for a short time and still they press on. Hardwick is not on his own at fault, but he is the one who is supposed to steer the ship.

When Foley was in the side for the latter half of last year, Richmond actually won stuff. Because injury may have made him slower but he is NOT a dumb footballer.

That's it. We have some solid players like Ellis, Miles and Maric, but it drops away so quickly after that

Frustrating thing for me is, the players come out burning up energy without reward. Keep going until they get a cpl consecutive goals against. Then drop there heads and the unit is broken. Get flashes of effort from some players, but that doesn't achieve jack shit by themselves.

Have just crossed of 3 games from the fixture that I won't be attending, those games were always 50/50 but Richmond have just made the decision so much easier. Hope the club enjoys the Friday night fixtures they wanted, pity no one will turn up to them, at least we will get the arse from Friday night which for me is a good thing.
