Round 6 Trades

Barring injury I'm probably looking at Bird to Kornes (was going to go Corey but with a B/E of 161 he will hopefully drop a bit more).

This means I can choose between Jack/Dyson/Masten for my last midfield spot.

While you will get the odd high scoring game out of P.Burgoyne, I don't think his average overall will be that much better than Ellis.

Ellis is averaging around 75-80.
P.Burgoyne is averaging around 80.

Burgoyne is not worth the extra ~100k.

Yes I know the prices/avgs would have changed after this week, but baring that in mind, it still isnt worth it.
Ellis' will go down, P.Burgoyne's will go up.

Does that mean we shouldn't trade a rookie to Brown/Johnno because they are averaging similar?

Nathan Thompson >>>>> Maric/Valenti/Kurt Tippett

Stevens >>>>> Judd

Nathan Thompson was my 7th forward, my 7th forward will now be Cyril Rioli as he was playing as an emergency...

I can't wait any longer, i have to get the Juddernaut NOW!

Question for people. Ive got a fair wack of cash in the bank (300k) and want to trade for some guns.

One trade is Hill -> Riewoldt. Would mean my forwards would be set for a fair while, only needing to pick up Chappers at some stage for one of Porps/Dids/Lids.

That would leave me with about 160k. Im looking to trade Dyson this week too, so I would have about 390k to work with (from memory). Stand out candidate looks to be Mitchell, seems to be hitting his straps again. Only problem is he plays Sydney in a few weeks and has been known to get tagged out of games.

Question is, would you do the above two trades? If I hold off on Roo, I can upgrade Dyson to Kornes (or maybe Hayes for someone different) and have cash left over for next week. Would mean I would keep playing one of Hill/Rioli and Hill looks to have peaked.

Tough decisions coming up.

Burgoyne will average 85-90 IMO and as i said before Port Adelaide will start to rise now, and he will benefit from it, as most players would

There is absolutely no way whatsoever Ellis will keep up an average of anything more then 75. Doesnt get enough consistent game time, usually gets 70-75%. Trade-off for sure, and i've gotta make the most of his (Burgoyne) bad game

Fair enough, that is your opinion. I just don't like your chances :p

Looking to pick up one of these players for Dyson

Mitchell
Judd
Marc Murphy
Stanton

Is it possible to pick one out of that lot or just flip a coin?

Had shocking run with luck of later which doesn't help at all in this game. Don't think there are any trades for me this week. Still waiting for most of my rookies and other cash cows to reach there limits or close to, most of them have negative B/E this week.

What about Dyson to Kornes and Hill to Steve Johnson? Geelong have a great run the next few weeks, and he looks like he's about to fire up.

Id rank them:

Judd
Murphy
Mitchell
Stanton

But they are all so close.

I think Judd has the edge as he looks to be back in scoring form, and you would think he is still improving and regaining form. Murphy ahead of Mitchell purely from a consistency point of view. Both will average about the same, but Mitchell will sometimes score 50-60's which can be frustrating. Stanton last because I dont think he is experienced enough at breaking hard tags, something he will get more of this year.

I thought about that, but im not sold on SJ yet. I would want to see some consistent scores before jumping on. Roo has put together back to back centuries, and he had some terrible delivery last game. I think he has to be a lock for your side every year, and now looks to be the time to pick him up.

If I get Roo, ill have 382k (including Dysons worth) to spend. Only real candidates are Mitchell and Murphy. Should both average about the same, but Murph is looking to be more consistent.

Other option is to wait it out one more week and see what Dyson does. His B/E isnt that high, and Mitchells is still around the 100 mark. Plus he plays Sydney the following week and could drop further.

This is a tough one. :p

My patience with Kerr has snapped, ditched him for S Burgoyne. I might do the same with B Johnson however he isnt getting the hard tag, its his injuries thats screwing him over..... Do we all jump off B Johnson?

Trading Ling is stupid, the guy is a keeper, who cares what his breakeven is...Trading him for young is even dumber, there will be like 5 points difference between them.

Some would say that Lloyd is a keeper, but Ive never rated him as a DT player, so that trade is not the worse you can do. However I'm sure there are other areas that require more attention?
